The Bolohoveni/Volohoveni were mostly north of the Dniester in Podolia and only after the Mongolic invasions and the Slavic encroachments from Volinia and Galicia (Halychyna) moved south into newly created Moldova. They were not the only people in Polonia, but had a strong enough presence to fight against or with the Slavs. Țara Strășinețului, not *Strășiureț. Ceangăii (csángó ”wanderer, miscellaneous - not pure) came in Moldova much, much later than the Hungarian invasion in Transylvania, but sooner than 1790-1870 when the language reform took place. Csángó speak a medieval dialect connected with the upper Tisa area, where historically was a mixed place until late in the 19th century. The bulk of them came between XVII-XVIII, but not earlier than 13th century when a pope places a small population east of the Carpathian along Turks, Germans and Romanians. The Hungarians are recorded even then in two separate folds, Székelys being at the forefront, like always. The Iassi (correct āsi) were an Allanic tribe that is first and conclusively recorded in the XIII century within the Tatar/Mongolic invasions, so 800 is a bit too early to place them in that spot. Other Allanic tribes reached the Danube even earlier than 800, but not in the interior of Moldova. My guess is that the Iassi were placed around the city Iași (named after them) at the orders of the Tatars (on lower Danube) to police the local population and assure a steady stream of livestock and crops. Gelou is defeated and killed in 904.
Some people in the comments seem confused and don't understand the video. It's about Romanian-ruled states, not about Romanian-inhabited lands. It's not denying that Romanians inhabited Transylvania. It actually shows the state Gelu in 880, then the lands of medieval Maramures, Severin and Fagaras, which had Romanian local leaders, then the Union of 1600 under Mihai... So the video is mostly correct in this regard. Some of the Hungarian posts in the comment section hate the video so it's even more strange that some people accuse the author of being a Hungarian nationalist or that he has something against Romanians. The author made a positive video about Romanians and he is accused or insulted, which isn't nice at all.

See in Wikipedia "Mihai Viteazul" ...

The great Romanian robbery in Hungary happened in 1919. They stole everything what wasn't in beton. Machines, treasures, gold, agricultural products, trains. Even complete factories. Funny when the Romanians stole machines from Hungary they couldn't use since that machines were hightech for the low level cultured people. This man have statue in Budapest since he kicked the thieves out from the Hungarian National Museum when this thieves were already there with prepared trucks to steal everything like hyenas

The Hungarian historian Kovary Laszlo, in his work "Transylvania Statistics", claims that the Romanians are the descendants of the Romans colonized in Dacia by the emperor Trajan, being found here by the Hungarians much later, in the 15th century. IX (955-956) ". In "Antiquities of Transylvania", Kovary Laszlo writes: "When the Hungarians came, Transylvania was inhabited by the Romanians (olah nemzet). From them the Hungarians took control of Transylvania". in your movie there are no romanians in transilvania 😏😐
László Kőváry did not write such things, but the truth is that in the 19th century and even at the beginning of the 20th century there were no serious archaeological, anthropological and especially genetic and archaeogenetic data to be sure of! In fact, we now know all the archival data on the populations of medieval Europe, data that was never used in the Romanian principalities! But in the Hungarian kingdom, data on all settlements and their inhabitants have been written in Latin since the beginning of the 11th century, and in recent years a great deal of such data has been found in the Byzantine and Western chronicles about Hungarians! A very good example Byzantine Emperor Leo VI, who wrote this about the Hungarians in the 10th century: "A large, noble and free people. They are not lacking in pomp and abundance, only in battle they are distinguished with great bravery. They shoot very well with the bow, not only the simple ones are armed to the teeth, but also their leaders are well equipped, even with horses in armor, or with protectors and thick belts…. They are all Scythians, the healthy sons of nature, they are stubborn, but also righteous, even their chiefs were severely punished, and they drove them away, if they were not righteous and just." And historians still they are silenced to the fact that Iordanes describes in Getica that Hungarians, also called sabers, lived first in Scythia and Dacia and then again in Scythia. Iordanes describes in chapter 28 that the Goths arrive in Scythia, and in Book 29 he writes that those who live here are the people of Magog, who belong to the Scythians and speak the language of the Scythians! In chapter 33 he mentions that the Gepids arrived in western Scythia, and describes that here are two great rivers, the Danube and the Tisia - Tisa. Magog's name also appears in the Bible, and there are authors like Josephus who claim that the Magori come from Magog, and they are all known as Scythians! Anonymus also mentions that after him were named Scythians Magor, whom we now call Dentumaghiarians. Anonymus writes about the origin of the Hungarians in the "Gesta Hungarorum": "The Hungarians, who in bravery and war skills being a great nation, as I stated above, their origin is from the nation of the Scythians." Herodotus wrote 2500 years ago: "Isteros (Danube) being the largest river of all we know, is the first to flow from the west through the land of the Scythians ..." Caius Plinius Secundus wrote in the 2nd century A.D.: "Ab eo in plenum quidem omnes Scytharum sunt gentes, varie tamen litori adposita tenuere, alias Getae, Daci Romanis dicti, alias Sarmatae, Graecis Sauromatae, ..." - indeed, they are all from the Scythian nations, the Getae who are also called Dacians of the Romans, and the Sarmatians called by the Greeks Sauromats. Dio Cassius wrote in the 2nd century A.D.: "Dacos Scythicam quodammodo nationem suisse" - The Dacians are from the Scythian nation. Vibius Sequester wrote in the 4th century. A.D.:"Dacians Scythae Europae" - The Dacians are European Scythians. Procopius writes in the 6th century A.D. that the massages are Huns: "De Bello Vandalico" - "Massagetae, quos nunc Hunnae apellamus." And of Attila he writes that he is the king of the Scythian massagetae: "Attilam Massagetarum Scytharumque exercitu armatum adversus Aetium processisse." A text from the laws of King Hungary's Endre I. of 1063: "All Hungarians and newcomers to the Kingdom of Hungary, who still practice the old traditions of Scythia, who do not respect the true religion of Jesus and do not keep the holy laws given by King Stephen, should be punished with death and confiscation of property. ” Werbőczy István, another 15th-century Hungarian chronicler, wrote about the Szeklers as well: “The Scythians in Transylvania are what we call the Szeklers today. These Transylvanian Scythians, who are all privileged nobles, come from the Scythian people..." Chronicon Bergomense: „Hungari, qui et Hunni, gens Scythica" Giovan Andrea Gromo, a 16th-century Italian scholar: „... Hungarians living in Transylvania are often called Dacians, while those in the kingdom are called Pannons, but still have the same language." Today, it is becoming increasingly clear that Hungarians are an ancient European people, as many others have realized, such as the American anthropologist Grover S. Krantz, who wrote the following about the Hungarians in her book "The Geographical Development of European Languages": "Hungarian is the oldest surviving language in Europe, considers it a Mesolithic language!" Of course, there is a lot of other evidence for this, which Bolshevik liberal and anti-Hungarian historians and linguists do not want and will not accept. For example, the Romanians or the neighboring Slavs do not know that there are rivers and mountain names in the Carpathian Basin that have been called the same since ancient times, and these can only be interpreted in Hungarian! But there is still an ancient Szekler-Hungarian runic writing, which according to many is most similar to the written signs of the more than seven thousand-year-old Tordos-Vinca Carpathian Basin culture, but also to the later Etruscan and Scythian writings. That is why I agree with those linguists who prove that the ancestor of the Finno-Ugric languages called Uralic was originally a Carpathian Basin or Danube Valley language, and groups migrated from here to the Urals and further north for thousands of years! In conclusion, after all the genetic data, which were compared with the latest data from archeogenetics, it seems that the Hungarians and Szeklers from Transylvania are the descendants of the native population before the Dacians, Sarmatians, Huns, Avars, Sabirs, Magori, etc. only that the Sabirs and Magyars of Álmos and Árpád organized the Hungarian statehood in the ninth and tenth centuries, which is why the Hungarian people were later called Magyars! The biggest problem for Romanian historians is that is that no one has ever written anything like this about either the Vlachs, nor about the Romanians, because it is such that Romanian or Rumanian became the name used for the Vlach people only from the 19th century, when the ideologues of the Transylvanian school invented the Roman and Dacian origins!
@Anhedon That does not means, that I think in daco-romanian territorial continuity, because the North Balkan area was inhabited by latin language population from the I. century until the VII. century, emperor Iustinian was latin/proto romanian. Look for Jiracek line: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jire%C4%8Dek_Line On map: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bc/Language_border_%28Matzinger%29.png The Traian Dacia was only in southern Transylvania, and lasts only 165 years, and emperor Aurelian emptied Dacia Traiana, and moved the whole population south the Danube in 271 AD, in the new province of Dacia Aureliana: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacia_Aureliana Romanians appears/reappears north the Danube probably from 803 AD, when the bulgarian khan, Krum occupied the whole territory of today Romania and more: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krum Krum's state on the map: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d3/Territorial_expansion_during_the_reign_of_Khan_Krum_%28803-814%29.png You can see it on the history of romance languages, proto-romanian and romanian in red color: ruclips.net/video/k9y2D9079k8/видео.html&ab_channel=CostasMelas
@Anhedon Only stupidity speaks of you, because even on Wikipedia she writes that the majority of Hungarians are EU19 - 60% and the EU18 - 13.3% which was only so high only among Poles and Basques across Europe! People with M173 (i.e., gene marker 173) with 7 GM presumably have about It reached Europe 30000 years ago. Among Hungarians, M17 (EU19) with 5 GM is the most characteristic gene marker. However, the TAT marker (EU13, EU14) formed 2 GM ago from the common 9-native American-Chinese-Australian Native American (VII.-X.) marker is not present in Hungarians. He also writes on Wikipedia about the origins of the Hungarians, that the latest research results created in cooperation with the Institute of Genetics and the Institute of Archeology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences prepare a new historical conclusion ... The 10th and 11th centuries that were successfully isolated in the studies, one of the most significant groups was markers referring to the oldest strata of the European population.
@Anhedon The truth about the Hungarians, written by the medieval chroniclers, because the genetic and archaeogenetic data also confirmed this! For example, what a Hungarian historian Horváth Csaba Barnabás wrote and published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Advanced Business and Social Studies in English, Reconsidering the geographic origins based on the synthesis of archaeological and linguistic evidence and the newest results in genetics briefly summarizing the conclusions drawn in the study regarding the origin of the Finno-Ugric languages and the resulting findings regarding the Scythian culture and the origin of the Hungarians. The study tries to determine the geographical origin of the Uralic language family by combining the latest genetic data with archeological and linguistic data, and in the end the conclusions about the Uralic language family. From a genetic point of view, the focus of the research is on mutations in the DNA of the Y chromosome. Because it is inherited from only one parent, it forms a huge family tree that covers all of humanity. Each branch of this family tree is called haplogroups. The following three data are available for each haplogroup, namely, its geographical distribution, time of formation, and location within the global family tree. The result is that today's Hungarians are largely descended from the Scythians who spoke the Ugric language that linguists thought was Uralic! But this language at the time was more of a Central and Eastern European language and could only survive in the Germanic and Slavic Seas in late antiquity and the Middle Ages because it was spoken by the vast majority of Scythians and most retreated here to the Carpathian Basin! The most famous Hungarian archaeogenetician Dr. Török Tibor, wrote about the methods of DNA analysis from the bones of Hungarians, Avars and Hun warriors, he says: "During the debate, several experts have already pointed out that in medieval Europe it was particularly disadvantageous to mention that the Huns were the ancestors of the Hungarians, and Attila the forerunner of the Hungarian kings. Recent archeological-genetic studies seem to support the chroniclers who wrote this, as the Y chromosomes of the Hun nobles showed the greatest resemblance to those of the Scythians, those of the Hungarian king Béla III, and the chromosomes of the ruling tribes Hungarians. Genetic data increasingly suggests that these conquerors had to do with the Huns, specifically the Scythians. The connection between the ruling class and the royal house is quite certain, for the time being the question is the relationship with the common people, who seem to be ancient Europeans and with the DNA of Central and Eastern Europe." All these genetic data are published and debated in the West such as in Germany and the USA, so the prehistory of the Hungarians is on the verge of a major change, especially compared to the absurd theories that the Finno-Ugric Hungarians came from the Siberia or Mongolia! To better understand, the real debate today between most Hungarian historians and linguists is only who were the ones who spoke the Hungarian language and spread the immense culture of the Hungarian peasantry. Because the data is already in favor of the local population and not of those who were only concerned with foreign and territorial defense struggles, because the latter have genetically disappeared from the bones of cemeteries in the following centuries!
Bulgaria needs to unite with Romania. If you look at DNA composition it is very similar. Many Bulgarians already speak Romanian so why not? Lets unite! Together we make a big strong and rich country. We will make the West jealous.

@@alexalbusissi2885 He may be harsh but I do not think accepting a population (even if it is close by) in open arms is a good idea when our population (Romanian) is sub 16 million. Yes I know it is claimed to be 19 million but ţigan and maghiari should not count as Romanian by blood. as they identify first with their own, so be it, they just cant be counted as Romanian. The other major issue is less than 5 million our Romanian brothers and sisters exist bellow the age of 29. Contrast that to the drop in total population of 26 million (including others such as the maghiari) in 1989 to now at a total population of 19 million. Romania could easily go extinct if we were to let any and all people come from other neighboring regions. It would be the end of Romania in 100 years without a doubt.

On 1 december wich is our national day, romanians in those areas are afraid to raise the romanian flag, they are beaing threat even by death, one kid had the romanian flag under his coat,hidden, and he opened the coat just to take a picture and was threatened by beating and death. Many cases like this happened. People on those areas don't even know romanian, if we go there we must speak in english and are badly treated, with hatred. This is Romania, our country still... This is getting out of hand and a lot of romanians are getting abused and threaten in their own country by a minority, because you, from Hungary only promote hatred toward us. The day will come when we will not bear this anymore in our own country. Transylvania is Romanian land and any act that is trying to convince of the contrary is an attack on Romania. Stop it.
The author only wanted to show the history of Romania between 780-2020. It does not mean that before 780 there was nothing. Then, after the Aurelian withdrawal of the Romans from Dacia (anno 271), it was the period of the great migrations of nomadic peoples, sure the majority population was formed by the ancestral natives of the Thracians (Dacians) but under temporary nomadic rule - Huns, Goths, Gepids, Cumans, Avars, Mongols etc.
Nobody knows for sure.
There is no real evidence for the connection between Dacians and Romanians, only theories

See in Wikipedia "Mihai Viteazul" ...
Între 1593-1599 este Domn al Țării Românești;
Între octombrie 1599 și iunie 1600 a fost Stăpânitor al Țării Românești și al Ardealului;
În perioada iunie 1600 - septembrie 1600 a fost Stăpânitor al Țării Românești, al Ardealului și Moldovei, adunate împreună sub "unirea personală" a lui Mihai; în cazul Moldovei îl înscăunează de fapt pe fiul său;
Între septembrie 1600 - noiembrie 1600 a fost Domn al Țării Românești;

Harry Hill Bandholtz the major military general of US army wrote in his memoirs about the shameful Romanian robbery in his book “An undiplomatic diary” New York Columbia University press.

:))))

The Tara Romaneasca thing is actually a communist propaganda attempt trying to hide some details of history.
@@Aecrim1 No it wasn't. Neacsu's letter called Wallachia "Tara Rumaneasca".
@@Aecrim1 There is also other evidence that the "Wallachian" rulers called themselves "Domn al Țării Românești". '' ( ... in the days of the enlightened Lord of the whole Romanian Country /Țării Românești , Io Ștefan Vodă Cantacuzino ...). It happened more than 200 years before any trace of communism appeared in Romania. Since the Romanians (both in Transylvania and in Moldova or Țara Românească ) did not call themselves Wallachians but Romanians and the language the same, they called it Romanian it is natural that the country called it the same.
Gelu is there, look carefully again.
They are all Scythians, the healthy sons of nature, they are stubborn, but also righteous, even their chiefs were severely punished, and they drove them away, if they were not righteous and just."
And historians still they are silenced to the fact that Iordanes describes in Getica that Hungarians, also called sabers, lived first in Scythia and Dacia and then again in Scythia.
Anonymus writes about the origin of the Hungarians in the "Gesta Hungarorum": "The Hungarians, who in bravery and war skills being a great nation, as I stated above, their origin is from the nation of the Scythians."
Herodotus wrote 2500 years ago: "Isteros (Danube) being the largest river of all we know, is the first to flow from the west through the land of the Scythians ..."
Caius Plinius Secundus wrote in the 2nd century A.D.: "Ab eo in plenum quidem omnes Scytharum sunt gentes, varie tamen litori adposita tenuere, alias Getae, Daci Romanis dicti, alias Sarmatae, Graecis Sauromatae, ..." - indeed, they are all from the Scythian nations, the Getae who are also called Dacians of the Romans, and the Sarmatians called by the Greeks Sauromats.
Procopius writes in the 6th century A.D. that the massages are Huns: "De Bello Vandalico" - "Massagetae, quos nunc Hunnae apellamus." And of Attila he writes that he is the king of the Scythian massagetae: "Attilam Massagetarum Scytharumque exercitu armatum adversus Aetium processisse."
A text from the laws of King Hungary's Endre I. of 1063: "All Hungarians and newcomers to the Kingdom of Hungary, who still practice the old traditions of Scythia, who do not respect the true religion of Jesus and do not keep the holy laws given by King Stephen, should be punished with death and confiscation of property. ”
Werbőczy István, another 15th-century Hungarian chronicler, wrote about the Szeklers as well: “The Scythians in Transylvania are what we call the Szeklers today. These Transylvanian Scythians, who are all privileged nobles, come from the Scythian people..."
Chronicon Bergomense: „Hungari, qui et Hunni, gens Scythica"
Giovan Andrea Gromo, a 16th-century Italian scholar: „... Hungarians living in Transylvania are often called Dacians, while those in the kingdom are called Pannons, but still have the same language."
Today, it is becoming increasingly clear that Hungarians are an ancient European people, as many others have realized, such as the American anthropologist Grover S. Krantz, who wrote the following about the Hungarians in her book "The Geographical Development of European Languages": "Hungarian is the oldest surviving language in Europe, considers it a Mesolithic language!"
Of course, there is a lot of other evidence for this, which Bolshevik liberal and anti-Hungarian historians and linguists do not want and will not accept.

I don't think so, buddy. We're not Slavs. Play in your own sandbox.

I hope there is a way to reverse this fate.
