Nice ride, I was trying to work out where in the Dales you were riding. The road looked like it was in Wharfedale…. I share you feelings about motorcycle engines, although I have always been partial to single cylinder machines, Norton and Enfield in particular.
You’re so right! They have character and heart which makes them special…they’re alive! Electric motorcycles, they’re passionless and merely throwaway appliances.
Lovely roads there. Were you on the Scrambler? Watching this whilst observing the time-honoured ride-out ritual of stopping for a bacon roll and staring at my bike. This morning I was torn between my HD tourer or Triumph Street Triple. The Triple won. As you say, very different configurations of essentially the same thing. Cheers from the Isle of Man.
The sound of the engine & exhaust is a massive attraction. Keep up the great vids.

I was on my Triumph Scrambler 1200. I was out today on my Norton Commando 961. Two British parallel twins. Two hugely different engines.
