He was engaging and bright and funny, but it was never about him. It was about the guest. So true. I miss Letterman. Dave became a very good interviewer as the years went on. Not at first. Closest I've seen to Carson/Letterman is Seth Meyers. It's on a little late, but when I have seen it, he's very good. He knows how to fucking listen!
