Kennedy Violins It works on a Viola, Cello, Upright Bass, & even a Viola D'amore. They make Geared tuning machines for Bowed Instruments too.

Do you have any advice for brands of strings for a sound that would be suitable for a small chamber player ie to be loud enough to be balanced with the other voices. Thanks so much.

Greetings Joel. On my own, I've just replaced my G string on my violin, and turned the peg as you said, but it is still slipping a bit. What else can I do? Thank you so much for your help. Have a great day!

The biggest mistake people make is not pushing the peg in WHILE you turn it. Just make sure to push the peg in while you turn it. The more you push the peg in, the stiffer the peg will get. It takes a little practice to get the exact pressure you want but it'll work! 👍

Thanks for sharing this. Can you use a digital tuner?
