Thank you so much for this interview. I have been in a wilderness of extreme physical suffering for almost 5 years. I was a ministry leader at my church and after 2 years people stopped coming, stopped calling, stopped texting. The isolation, the suffering, staring death in the face has broken me to the core. I don't even have many words yet to try and describe all that I have gone through and learned in this time. But by Gods mercy I am still here, clawing my way out of this dark hole. It is really hard facing this as a "younger" person because you are one of few going through such tragic circumstances, so it is nice to hear someone else especially a ministry leader in their joirney. Thank you for sharing.
Tyler, thank you for this!!! Thank you for speaking truth and not just platitudes!! Thank you for speaking out of your weakness and vulnerability! In the suffering of having 3 heart attacks, liver failure and prostate cancer treatment, I have come to know the Father in an intimate way. Had I not had all these things, I doubt I would know him as intimately. He has been very close to me thru all these tests and trials and has brought me thru. In addition, He has blessed me with so much more compassion for other people in the middle of the road they are walking on. Stand strong brother! I will be praying for you. Skip
I am so glad to hear you experienced the truth through Tyler S's story and sharing from vulnerability. I am most glad you have experienced the Father's love and intimacy through all of those challenges. Awesome on the growing compassion for others along the way! THanks for sharing Skip!
"The deepest level of formation is consenting to that which we would never choose." and also "The wilderness can be a place where we find treasure, if we choose it, once we've been driven into it."
As I was diagnosed with cancer 5 months ago, I asked Jesus how I should pray about it. His reply was profound: Give thanks! A few days later I preached on Ephesians 5: 20, on giving thanks for everything - and in giving thanks for having cancer, I began to pray God would use this cancer for other's healing. Now I thank him that my cancer diagnosis and fight is bring healing to others. And in that, God is healing me! Hallelujah! 😊
What a transformational testimony David. Thank you for giving thanks in everything through God's strength and letting your cancer fight be a means for God's healing for others. Well done bro! Amen on God healing you.
The Lord placed this video on my front page at such a powerful time. Tyler G, thank you for hosting in such an authentic, gracious way for a difficult topic such as this. This conversation should be heard by many. May The Lord bless this podcast series and may He bring full healing to Tyler S.
I enjoyed listening to this podcast today. My husband was given a second cancer diagnosis in less than 5 years, two separate cancers. The most recent is terminal, they are treating it, and he received a stem cell transplant in January 2024, this will give him more time with us. We've been married almost 47 years. The Lord has blessed us all during this season, we rely on our Lord and know he is in control. God bless you young man, I pray you get remission soon.
Thank you so much for sharing your and your husbands story and journey with us. I will pray for a miracle that heals the terminal and for your strong sense of God's presence with you. Rejoicing in the beauty of 47 years married and the blessings of your experience of God in this season.
So excited to read next month; it is so beautiful to see the Spirit moving so vibrantly. Thank you Tyler for getting this needed message to the church!
