@@WildMonkDrumcovers That's an excellent way to do it! That's how I learned well. What I found the most helpful believe it or not is the quality of mics used. The cleaner sound you have coming in, the easier it is to mix how you want it. Mics like Earthworks or Shure Beta 98AMP. Earthworks is like top of the line, but the Shure beta sound just as good and are a bit cheaper. If I hear a muffled sound coming in, I know the mic needs to be better. But it's all personal preference and what you can afford! I'm not a pro at mixing either, so I prefer the cleanest sound possible so it's easier to mix, haha! 🤘🥁
