- Reacting to Lil Peep Come Over When You're Sober Pt.1 FULL ALBUM!!
Lil Peep was one of the most interesting artists to fall out of the Rock Reacts search for new talent and his tragic passing - as is always the way - made him even more fascinating, at least to me. Given that I'd only heard a couple of tracks I went back in to hear the whole of Come Over When You're Sober Pt.1, especially as Come Over When You're Sober Pt.2 is out November 2018.

COWYS is good, but it doesn’t do Peep justice in terms of some of his better stuff. I’d recommend checking out his Crybaby and Hellboy albums x
samantha dawn I agree, crybaby is just quality music
Castles II lil peep and lil tracy
Lil Peep Part one. 10/10 tape
samantha dawn crybaby
Joshua Yep💯 LiL PEEP Part One, Live Forever, Hellboy, California Girls are all excellent tapes tbh
Simon your bald head is so beautiful in this lighting
Just imagine the sun beaten down on that bald head
*johnny
His name is Johnny
When I listen to peep music, I can't explain to anyone why I like it, because words to describe that feeling has not been invented yet, you have to feel it yourself, something like this is unexplainable. I don't believe in god but when I got this feeling from listening to peep, now I know why peoples believe in god, is that feeling that you can't explain that energy, that connection, but at the same time now I found a reason why I don't believe in god and I never will, he didn't left anything that I could connect with him he had no music, no face no nothing, while peep was here and he left music that we can connect with, he left something that I emotionally can be attached too, and that's why he is my god.
Lil Meep exactly man. I don’t know peep makes feel some way no other music can. It’s much more than just music I just can’t explain it.
he left bible
ayeee lil meep
I feel the same exact way, he makes me feel safe and not really fear death
Lil Meep your the main man lil meep
November 9th for pt.2
Like if you're hyped!!!!
I feel it should be on november 1st for peeps birthday or november 15th when he sadly passed away
ImdaOPGEXP yea but all albums drop on a Friday
Peep was a very complicated guy, he loved life but he hated it at the same time. Drugs were a big part in his life and unfortunately that’s what ended him. He was a very fragile, honest and talented guy and he was a talent taken too soon. Rip Gus we love you!
You need to do the Lil peep - Hellboy mixtape, it's amazing
Axn Nxa it’s trash
blue ostrich64 it’s one of his best works so nah dude that aint true
blue ostrich64 u slow Hellboy 10x bettter than COWYS
@@pagu2667 for real it's his worst project.
"Fun" fact: lil peep has recorded over more than 10 hours of (released) music during his short career.
Yes so young and then recorded so many good songs!
Hundreds of unreleased tracks as well
Lots of his early stuff isn't very good tbh, but he does have those gem eps
On The Brinq you’re trippin, his older stuff is better than his new stuff. I’ve literally never heard someone say that. But you do you.
LiL Bell you can’t say switch up is better than u said or something new. switch up sucks (a little bit).
I watched this expecting to be offended but you're understanding of music and empathy for what the music is speaking to and what it comes from is advanced. You are a huge attribute to the culture, you got a fan!
Yeah man I was thinking the same thing. What an open minded and empathetic guy.
Why is Simon the British Johnny Sins
F
Wtf hahahahahahahahahha
Fuck you, I can't unsee it
Johnny Sins is the American Simon Miller
I came into the comments to see if anyone else noticed
what i like about peep the most is that he sounds the same live if not better...quite rare for most rappers
I agree
When are you gonna beat up Anthony Fantano?
Cause they melons
DSR 50 here’s why *intro music plays*
Melon vs Melon
They should fight like rams
I would pay to see this. Anthony Fantano annoys the shit out of me
If you really wanted to hear more diverse/thoughts from Peep, I recommend checking out his “Hellboy” album. Some real diverse range of music on there.
You should really listen to his album „live forever“. It isn’t that known but a major part of his dedicated fan base (as far as I am concerned) thinks this rather short album (20 minutes) is one of his best pieces of work with many iconic melodic songs that are amazing! Definitely worth a mention.
He needs to listen to Capital Steez's album
Aicns212 oh hell yeah I couldn’t agree more. He is unfortunately still unknown to the most so I guess he won’t listen to it any time soon. But let’s spread the word. Capital STEEZ- Amerikkkan Korruption
@@ShutterIsland-gj1ko fuck yeah my guy Cap could have done so much. Long live Steez and Jah and Peep and Mac.
Finally someone who knows how to get em muthaphuckin blunts rolled
URGH YES you and Denton making me so happy with these tbh
Hey Simon, i think you should review TA13OO in full length on this channel since you and Jon have your three-track rule on the main channel. It's probably my favorite album this year and i know you'd love it.
Facts, it’s truly a great album, and an meaningful message behind
YES!
I’m a huge Denzel Curry fan and have been for a few years but I don’t vibe with most of TA13OO I think it’s because everyone likes it so much but much respect to Denzel and I hope his success continues
@@brandoncochrane3357 But do you like the music though? Btw I don't think that's a good reason to dislike something. Other people's thoughts on the song shouldn't effect your own point of view. Either you fuck with it or you don't.
Juan Ayala I guess I don’t like the vibe of the album because im so use to Denzel laying down slaps he’s the only one i get pumped up listening to. I love meaningful music also I don’t know why this album didn’t hit home with me
Great to see a reaction to this album Simon, you and Jon are really coming through with fantastic reactions on all of your channels. Btw, the bass on Benz Truck is actually played by Juan Alderete, bassist for The Mars Volta and Racer X and currently the touring bassist for Marilyn Manson among many other projects
Also would love to see a reaction to COWYS Pt. 2 when it comes out next month
@@Monte_Verita what's John's channel called
Tem Muller it’s just under his name Jon Denton, if you type that in it should come up
That was pretty fucking amazing to hear! Also since I’m a Prog rock/ metal fan, very fucking awesome!
I haven't watched this yet but this is epic. I don't think anyone's done a lil peep full album review
Stephen Thompson needledrop has lol
Wololo Youknow I think he meant reaction/review
Kelaggs bruh his was good
You don’t spend much time on RUclips then
He’s fascinating, you’re very right
YES!!! You and John did the 2 most wanted album reactions back to back!!!!
What did John react to
Dude I'm only half way through ur video and ur honestly on point. Who ever has there first exposer to Peep on this video will at least appreciate what he did.
Great video Simon, really enjoyed it as a fan of both of you
I was expecting you to roast and hate on Lil Peep. I am extremely glad that you didnt and you managed to explore the complex techniques and meanings behind his songs! Well done.
This was awesome man. Really liked your take and commentary. Lot’s of musical wisdom to bring to us younger generation.
You make such honest and pure content, keep up the great work
You gotta react to cowys pt2 dude it comes out in november 9 and its gonna be 100 times better than pt 1
I heard it and tbh sadly i prefer part 1 better
@@oj761 how u heard it if only 5 of 11 songs got leaked before lmao
Steady,COWYS part 1 is a masterpiece
Yeh part one is honestly better, I've heard like 9/11 of the part 2
I doubt
One of the best reaction videos I've ever seen. Peep changed thousands of lives.
wow, this was one of the most intense videos i've ever seen, i love the way you explain everything, you did a etter job than i ever could even though i've heard this album so many times
Am I the only person who thinks lil peep awful things is so much better with the music video?
Facts
Ty for being so cool and really vibing to peep ur reaction seemed genuine as if you were open to anything u were about to here
Do the “California girls” EP by lil peep
ATrueOttoman Fucking great EP, up there with Live Forever and Vertigo
I reccomend you listen to Hellboy and Crybaby, they are truly his best albums.
Ryan Don Lil Peep Part One*
@@aTacoNinja exactly
Umm nah its Vertigo or Live Forever
React to Praying To The Sky (The black & white video of him playing live, isn't actually live though just dubbed over. Very insightful video though!)
Listen to both Crybaby and Praying to the Sky by Lil Peep, both are some of his most personal songs
Honestly, listening to your insight and watching your reactions is almost better than listening to the album by itself
good video. thought this was just going to be fishing for views but you were very respectful. thumbs up and subbed.
theres a ton of lil peep lyrics that talk about his own death so better off dying is just the tip of the iceburg. Loved your thoughts on this album, thumbs up!
Big peep fan and have seen a lot of people give poor reviews about him/COWYS just because they don't understand him. But your review was very open minded and accurate! Good video Simon.
Every time Save that Shit come on the start reminds me of a circus. Don't know why. Just does
Will Neate the start of better off (dying) sounds like a bowling ally for me idk why
CAPTAIN first tiem I heard star shopping I was fucking around my Minecraft building a house and idk why but whenever I hear that song it reminds me of Minecraft but mixed w good and bad memories
So glad you did this! Lil peep is my favourite artist! Great fair review
Listen to Lil Peep pt 1
Yes
Great reaction, I enjoyed hearing your first thoughts on the album, great timing too as COWYS2 is due to release on Nov 9th. Peep's producer, smokeasac, played and still plays a great part in his sound being what it is, they had a great chemistry when working together and had a great friendship too. Peep plays a big role in a lot of people's lives, mine included. Personally, he's my all-time favourite artist.
love the reaction man, keep doing these 🤘
RIP lil peep man he was a rockstar, a legend, he was lil peep
React to city morgue hell or high water plz !
yes
I feel like Simon would love city morgue
You should check out Come Over When You're Sober Part 2 when it's released next month!
I’ve been a fan of you and peep for so long how did I jus find this
Lil peep was severely depressed and probably had anxiety too
Dridzoe he actually suffered from SEVERE anxiety and that's what pushed his drug addiction. I think he suffered from that more than depression
@@christopherburton3681 yeah he had depression with anxiety as a major symptom which was a major factor in his drug addiction
Love this! Thanks Simon. Lil Peep really deserves this and so much more.
React to Lil Peep part one, imo its his signature and most complete project.
especially Star Shopping
Don't get me wrong COWYS is great but I connect with a lot of his older music. If y'all wanna peep it (no pun intended) check out Life, Falling 4 Me, and Star Shopping.
Lil Peep pt.1 is his BEST tape and also a lot of his better tracks are features. Old peep>new peep
I told Jon to react to this album but you'll do to 💞
everyone saying they've heard most of the songs on cowys 2 don't understand that the songs they heard were only demo versions of the songs, they will sound different when officially released. It will still sound fresh.
Albums to listen to
J cole - forest hills drive
Joyner Lucas - 508-507-2209
Frank ocean - Channel Orange, Blonde
Childish Gambino - Camp, Because the Internet
Chance the Rapper - Acid Rap
Kid Cudi - Man On The Moon 2, Speedin bullet to heaven
Brockhampton - Saturation
Jaden Smith - Syre
Speedin bullet to heaven, was horrible
Rappers I know the majority of people didn’t like it but I did, and it would be good for them to listen to in my opinion because it sounds a lot like rock which is the type of music they love I think
Edit: however I did forget about the beavis and butthead samples those were really annoying I never looked up the purpose for them being there
Cme19 basic as shit
More like speeding bullet to the trash
Got em
Ghostemane N/O/I/S/E
You can thank Smokeasac for the production and beats
When you're doing album reviews you should check if there's any videos on the songs, like benz truck has a vid and a couple of others so you could watch that instead of just listening
Best reaction video I’ve ever seen. I like how you find something positive to say about every single track and how you keep such an open-minded approach. You definitely earned my respect and a follow. Keep doing what you’re doing! The WWE videos are great too btw
Like everyone else commenting, hellboy and crybaby are very good mixtapes imo. Love the way you pick everything apart too
you should listen to brand new - “okay i believe you but my tommy gun don’t” it’s where he got the guitar from for brightside
I would agree with you Simon his music doesn’t belong to a genre it’s just music and should be listened to how you would listen to any music 🖤
Can you do his other project hellboy as well?
I just wanted to touch on a note you said in your review. You mentioned that you wondered if X and Peep were friends. They were not and never spoke to each other ever. The song was originally wrote with Ilovemakonnen and Peep in mind, X made a verse for the song after peep's passing. Just educating you my dear friend. Also if you get the chance like everyone else is recommending his mixtape hellboy has more punk and rock influences and even metal at some point. It is worth a listen but it also gets more trap sounds in it too so more hip hop sounds.
Somebody link this man a SoundCloud playlist with peeps best.! Awesome video nonetheless
I think the beauty of Peep is that he has such a ridiculous amount of music for someone of his young age. His music is so unique and because of the sheer amount I feel like everyone will have their own song of his which gets them more than any other. I love all his music, I spend hours a day listening to him and I love ‘Live Forever’ and ‘Red Drop Shawty’, I think some of his more popular stuff isn’t even his best stuff (as is usual with a lot of artists). But there’s no doubt to the emotional depth of his songs.
YOU NEED TO GO LISTEN TO CASTLE'S MIXTAPE AND ALL HIM AND LIL TRACYS OLD SONG
React to star shopping by lil peep
that's my fav peep song also i think they did that on rock reacts
Gotta listen more than once as with many albums to truly appreciate it
Well spoken commentary and reaction. Awesome job Simon!
You’re absolutely right when you said his music is great if you get it. Bc once you get it you’ll love it
WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS WOW THANK YOU
Simon you should do the 17 album too like Jon did on his channel, it’s a really good album
His autobiography documentary “everybody is everything” just came out, if you want to understand a little bit more of his life I’d recommend watching it, its truly, painfully beautiful
One thing that would improve the quality of these videos would be if you cut the clips at the end of a line rather than mid-word. It's nitpicky but it would feel less choppy.
Great video though Simon, it would be interesting to see you react to an album by Kid Cudi.
Hey Simon you should react to lil peep “the song they played when I crashed into the wall” it’s one of his best, off hellboy album! If you like 90s rock or grunge you’ll love this song. Great video man 👍🏽
Love peep, great reaction
A great way to find good songs of him is just to type in Lil Peep in youtube and go for the most popular ones
PLEASE react to the 17 or ? Album. I love rock reacts and the only thing I've really wanted was album reactions.
Please do COWYS Part 2 when it comes out
Realest reaction RUclipsr out there. Very insightful
love this album so glad to see your views on it !
whoa, didnt expect you to listen to the COWYS pt 1 album
Can't wait for the reaction of part 2
Amazing video Simon
let’s do part 2 now!?
this is one of the only reaction channels i'd say are legit ''reactions'' and not ''yoo this slaps'' . Love the channel man
Thank you somebody that doesnt critize his sound..
This album was my first exposure to Peep. I found it very refreshing and it totally hooked me. I’ve since been listening to his entire catalog. I think his best work was in front him as well but that’s not to take away from what he left behind. #lilpeepforever #moodmusic
Please do COWYS Pt2 I would love to hear your input
DO PART 2 WHEN IT COMES OUT PLEASE ♥️♥️
You need to remember that COWYS and COWYS p2 are peeps mainstream albums so it's music is very easy to digest and usually mostly just hooks and its simple. A lot of his other songs that us big peep fans love are a lot more complex and usually have hooks and verses to them. Listen to songs like Hellboy, lil jeep, crybaby, suck my blood, nineteen, five degrees, nose ring.
COWYS didn’t really live up to peeps best. Hellboy and castles is what you need to check out to get the full peep experience.
Awesome bro
You can tell that he picked out the things of the Songs that Anthony Fantano didnt even heard or understood.
Awesome reaction!!!
Really like this review your really great
i hope pt2 reaction is coming soon , rip legend peep
Awesome! Love your loyalty bro.
Save That Shit is just Brilliant, 10/10
Simon if you think better of dying was hard for fans in his song Falling 4 you his second line is “I don’t want to die, I don’t want to od”
You Gotta do Come over when your sober pt.2 when it comes out
Wait are you the Simon that hosts the raw and smackdown reviews? I feel so dumb for never making the connection😂
