So happy to see you Emily. Glad Deborah directed us to you. I will miss seeing the sisters together, but now we can have twice the fun. 😍 loving your projects. Please take care. Looking forward to seeing many more episodes. ❤
You Are The Best! I’ve watched y’all (you & sis) for 3+yrs and was so sad when heard news your were taking a break!! ❤ you bring so much joy to our knitting community and I hope you can continue to record. Please keep your health boundaries though cuz we love you and your health is most important 😘
I will miss seeing you and Debra together. I started watching at the beginning of my knitting journey in the late summer of 2018. You and Debra were a voice of calm in a crazy time. I’m all subscribed to your new channel.
I am so glad you started podcasting again! Love seeing your happy face! My son has recently retired as NYPD sketch artist. His drawings have brought many evil people to justice giving victims closure! My heart goes out to Jennifer as someone who walked this nightmare, but also you, as I know first hand how difficult it is to walk and witness these journeys. I love that knitting not only produces warm things, but also is a place to weave together our thoughts! See you next week!!
Thanks for taking the time to podcast. Loved it! Also when something happens like the iPad drops, it makes it real. I love those moments best when everything is not Instagram perfect. Looking forward to the next one.
Love watching 1st episodes of a podcast. Yours is a very comfortable watch. I felt like I was just meeting you for a coffee. I look forward to seeing your next podcast. I am from Canada in a small but growing town. Thanks for sharing this with us
I was excited to see a knitting podcast by someone from Salt Lake City! I live in Draper, which seems a little too far to join the Salt Lake Knitting Guild, and I haven’t found any fellow knitters near me. So I will enjoy knitting with you virtually. Thanks for the podcast.
What a surprise to see you on an episode one! I have enjoyed your podcasts with your sister and enjoyed this new venture as well! Your knitting is quite inspirational. Thank you also for your book recommendation. I have read and liked a number of Brandon Sanderson's books in the past and this new one looks like a winner to me! Looking forward to your future podcasts!
So glad you're podcasting on your own - though I do miss you and Deborah together! Hopefully you two will be able to get together ocassionally! Always enjoy your knits!
I love your podcast. I have enjoyed your podcast with Debra for many years now. I missed seeing you. I am so glad to be able to now see the both of you. Take care of yourself. Look forward to seeing you soon. 🏰
Your cowl is gorgeous!!! I also enjoy fingering wt. sweaters, makes them a 4 season wearable. I'm so happy to see you again, I confess to worrying, hoping you were o.k. and sent prayers your way.
Thank you for starting a RUclips channel. Love you and your Knits. I missed seeing you and your sister together. Great show. Your new Steven West shawl is beautiful. I love the happy scrappy look. You've inspired me to make this shawl. I have sooooo many scraps. Prayers of great health for you and your family.
Tress!! I loved this book too! I am patiently waiting for my Tress box to arrive with the book so I can thumb through it, more than just reading the e-book. I saw a booktuber describe it as cozy fantasy and I think that sums it up quite well. I could use a lot more cozy fantasy in my life. And some of the Hoid bits were hilarious. 10/10 will read again. Ah yes, and I enjoyed so much your knitting too! :)
I’m glad to see you are podcasting! I have missed you and Debra. I enjoyed this very much. I really like that Little Leftovers cowl - will check it out. Your sweaters are so pretty!
Since I've missed the last couple of joint podcasts, when this popped up in my list and I started to watch, I thought, "WOW, she looks just like Emily on Meanwhile At The Castle," and then when you said your name was Emily I thought, Oh wait ... Sigh. Nonetheless, yay you are here!
So good to see you again. Thanks for the update. Hello Deborah! You are both very inspirational. I really enjoyed spending time with you this rainy, cold afternoon best wishes on your new podcast.
Hello Emily. It’s so lovely to see you starting your own podcast. I LOVE your MATC podcast with your sister but am super happy that now I’m going to have even more Emily and Deborah time ❤ Sending you lots of love from Kent, UK 🇬🇧 Sam xxx
I am so happy you are doing this ! You are so sweet & kind. You are such an inspiration to me & so many others. Thank you for sharing ! It was fun seeing you with your sister, But I know that is difficult now, so to see you continue on your own is wonderful !
So good to see your lovely face! When your channel popped up in my video feed, I subscribed before I watched it. I love the colors you have used in the scrappy cowl. Something I can definitely see myself making. See you again soon. thanks
I have the same gauge issues with both my knitting and crocheting! Depends on my mood and anxiety levels . Glad you are carrying on with your own channels! Enjoy you both! ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
I love what you are doing with the Fragmentation Shawl. I have been looking at it as well, thinking about how I might adapt it to my color preferences. Thank you for sharing!!
So wonderful to see you and hear what you’ve been working on. I was missing seeing the two of you together but totally get schedules can be challenging. I’m always in awe of your beautiful projects. Thank you for the book recommendation. I’ve not heard of the author but may give his book a try. Praying health and happiness over you and your family.
New subscriber here. I'm glad to have found your channel and love to hear from a Utahn on their crafting!! I'll have to look into the Farmington event for sure 😀
Emily, I love that cowl!!! I think I need to knit that ASAP! I might host a KAL with it on my podcast. If you want to knit another let me know and maybe we can cohost the KAL. ❤️ Joyce
For my granny squares, because I use scraps and they're not always the same, even though they're all worsted weight, they're not always the same size. So I have a template drawn on a blocking mat, and I just block each square as I go. And they all end up roughly the same size by the time I'm ready to assemble.
Emily, I love your new podcast! Good for you. I’m a big fan of Meanwhile and recently Deborah’s podcasts too. Thanks for engaging with us and keep going!❤
That was lovely! So nice to see you again! I’ve been trying to convince myself (for weeks) I really don’t need to cast on that west shawl right now lol I’m not sure I can hold off now! I don’t mind :)
Thank you so much for explaining why Meanwhile at the Castle hasn't been happening! Glad to know all is well😁 I grabbed that cowl pattern as soon as it was released, I love it so much and yours is beautiful! Thank you, as well, for the book recommendation. I love fantasy and I have never read Brandon Sanderson before 😁😁
This was wonderful, Emily! I thoroughly enjoying spending some time with you & seeing all of your fun projects. You might want to try blocking your crochet squares so they are all the same size. That’s got to be so frustrating to keep remaking them.
So excited to see you and on your own channel!!! Absolutely love you and your makes. Please do this often!! Well you got me with the Brandon Sanderson book. Haven’t read him in years and bought the kindle version before you even ended the podcast. Can’t wait to join in reading this book!! All the best to you!! God bless and happy knitting ❤
Great first solo podcast Emily. This may seem random, but I’m curious about the ring you are wearing on your right hand….what is the stone? It is so lovely.
Emily, you did such a great job! What I want to know is where my copy of Tress of the Emerald Sea is? I backed the secret project and have the audiobook on Speechify but have been patiently waiting for the hard copy. Fingers crossed it shows up soon.
@@saltcityknits I actually only ordered the hardbound books and then purchased the audiobook after the fact. I know it’s been a challenge getting them all printed and shipped so hopefully it won’t be too long.
