Too much structures, it is a layered song without easy to sing rhytm. To put it simply this song is way to complex for normal pop person. No easy melody to sing a long.Thats what made it the best song of the evening though.
The fact that people actually think Finland should have won tells you everything you need to know.

I really liked this song but I feared it would be under appreciated. Most people seem to prefer generic pop songs.

It was my absolute favourite. The drops were so tightly on point.
Every year people say that Norway should send a song in Norwegian, this year we did. We sent Gåte which sings in Norwegian and is very true to Norwegian folk music mixed with rock/metal.
People weren’t ready for this art unfortunately🥺❤️
I’m not mad that Switzerland won, but they deserved a much better placement🤷♀️
So sad wasnt appreciated. It was one of my favorites. Her vocals were magical. Definitely eurovision is not all about music anymore and people's voting criteria have nothing to do with quality. To me she deserved a placement at least in the top 10! Yet, i'm glad this banger track is in my playlist! Much love from a Greek fan! 🤗💙
In addition, people say that Norway was in the process of getting a stamp for sending gimmick songs. Seems like those are the kind of songs most people want.

I may not be watching Eurovision anymore because it’s like a “circus” nowadays🤯
Some of the songs I like this year is Italy, Croatia and Greece💚 and of course Norway🇳🇴

Even if Gåte didn't get the best result in ESC they're now selling tickets for concerts in December in Utrect Netherland and Kraków + Warzawa in Poland. I'm so happy for them because new doors are opened and they can do more touring in Europe. Good Luck to the fabulous group! I'm looking for a chance to join a consert in Norway next year ❤🎉😊

Maybe to difficult to understand for many people, but for a PROFFESJONELL jury???? Then they should ask for another job, because the voting was a scandal.
Maybe it was to complicated for most people(i don,t agree), but to complicated for the jury? If that was so....then the jury should find something else to do.
It was just sad....

@@toneengebretsen1149 The jury has proven to vote politically. One of the Norwegian jury has come forward to say that he did not vote for Israel for political reasons.
You should vote for artists in Eurovision, not what their governments do. The EBU goes out of its way to say that this competition is a non-political event and so the jury votes precisely politically.
So what level it is on the rest of the European juries, we will not know.
Gåte presented a narrow genre, but I had hoped that their energy and their high level would have awakened more Europeans.
Several countries have previously tried to sing in their own language and present their own culture, and the juries have not understood that. They prefer radio pop.
Gåte did a fine job and many have discovered them, while perhaps we just have to accept and move on with the knowledge that Gåte will now tour both Europe and the USA in the future, and there they will pay tribute to Norwegian language and culture, and that Eurovision is not for those who don't sing pop.
They are currently selling tickets for concerts in Switzerland and Poland, I read in the comments section here on YT.
I’m even more proud of Gåte and Ulveham after the results. Real art doesn’t have any place in ESC. It’s all about superficial glorified pink skies. And politics. So, when art like this gets the last place, I’m convinced about both the ESC and the quality of this song.
The music for Gåte is unfortunately too complicated for many, but I hope that many people who like the genre have discovered Gåte and that some have discovered that they like the genre through Gåte.
Now Sweden did not win this year, but Sweden has a stranglehold on the European music industry that Europe must free itself from.
Swedish music is generic boring pop that is polished, it is not an art but a product.
I have learned a lot about Norwegian music in recent months and it is incredible how much quality music Norway makes compared to Sweden when it comes to originality.
Gåte is one of those acquaintances and I am incredibly grateful that Norway presented itself as a nation through Gåte. Thank you Norway.
There are a lot of folkmusic and other genres of music made in Sweden aswell but are not represented in the Swedish competition called Melodifestivalen before ESC.
@@ann-christinenilsson4046 Why don't you think it is important to present what is typically Swedish on the world's biggest music stage? You can probably see for yourself that no one wins unless it's polished pop.
For Norway, it seems that Norwegian culture is more important than winning, while for Sweden it is more important to win than to proudly display Swedish culture. And we see again and again that Europe votes for pop and thus for Sweden. Not because the music is so fantastic, but because Swedish pop music has taken over Europe.
The big music festival should change its name to something with Swedish pop in the name, it would have become more honest at least.
@@maidsua4208 I have not written here that Swedish folkmusic shouldn´t be represented at the Swedish contest before ESC: Read the answer carefully before you reply and I don´t like your hostile tone! I just point out that the music is not AT the Swedish contest that much. There have been songs but they not always qualify to the final and if they do they won´t win. Many Swedish people will not vote for a song in the Swedish language which I find is a pity. This year the popsong from Sweden did not win!

You know I can’t help but agree that the songs were not strong this year. The singers were great, but the songs are not. Such a shame.
