This is one of the best presentations on problem identification for products.

It’s funny because, even more than pencils being flammable, pencils were actually quite risky in space since the graphite from broken tips is highly conductive and could short electronics. The Russians ended up buying space pens to replace their pencils. It’s a doubly good lesson not to judge a problem/solution space without fully understanding it.

Man I must change the speed to 0.5x to really grasp what he is saying. But overall this is a really great explanation and helps me to understand better of the concept. Thanks

I loved Dan's book and was excited to see a presentation by him on this channel. This video delivered a ton of value from the clear explanations of concepts and helpful examples of their application.
Thanks to Dan and everyone at Product School!

Don’t attempt to watch this on 1.5x speed like I did. My brain melted.

    With Go
Figma and UI kits is actually easier now to do interacting design with actual components. But then it looks like a mockup. That works when there is an already agreed upon style guide. But I still go through some hand prototyping... And irritate a lot before developing anything.

    Hi,
Great presentation, but the deck at slide-share is not as per slide. It will be great if you can update the same.

Dan - you left Friendster and YouSendIt off your list of companies you've consulted for.
