You can over fill both water and diesel systems. You should have a sight tube or a gague somewhere in the system for each tank. Bunkering can take a long time depending how much you need.. There are lots of things to do on rivers and docksides. Going ashore and getting leggless trying to find your way back to the vessel, diving underneath the vessel then boat maintenance and many other things.
Just enjoying the lovely scenery 8n drone shots etc, with lovely music adding to it, and enjoying the vibe of sharing a little trip with you two. I do hope you are getting plenty of relaxation yourselves!!!
Richard and Julia I have really enjoyed these first 4 episodes of your "Exploring the Thames", it all looks so quiet and peaceful in your videos, especially when the drone shots are included.
Thanks for another splendid edition of 'tales from the river bank' . Seeing you both enjoying your holiday book reminded me that I too enjoyed a new book when we were boating on the Thames. I bought 'The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady' from a quaint little bookshop on our travels. It was lovely just reading, cruising and relaxing on the Thames. I think it's time to re-read it ! Lovely to see you both enjoying life and making memories 😊
Great dancing, Julia! Don't worry about the content, Richard, it's great, beautiful scenery and good to see you and Julia relaxing and unwinding and just enjoying your holiday. That's me all caught up, waiting for the next episode!
I think the funniest line from Richard is in Goring when he says to Julia, "You're holding on to me as if I'm a liability" as she guides him out of the road. Poor old soul.😁😁 Brilliant series you two!
Hi Richard & Julia, don't overthink the content, it's wonderful, such beautiful scenery. Your drone footage is excellent @27:34 apprx. really breathtaking, the water is so calm! Nice dancing Julia, that was fun to see you enjoying yourself! Love the music choices. Richard, I hope your hives, or whatever is better soon & Julia I hope your sore throat is better as well! Thank you so much for sharing this trip, it's really lovely! Take really good care of each other, stay well. Lots of love Kathy x 💖
After watching you two on the river for half an hour i feel really relaxed too. Such beautiful scenery and watching the river is lovely. Just more of the same will do me just fine! Looking forward to the next one.
It is obviously NEVER BORING IN GORING ! And yet another great video and it makes those who are unable to get out feel that they were on that voyage with you !
You alerted while I was packing & cleaning some things up for the realtor to come take photos in a couple of days...so I thought I'd take a break & watch! So glad I did!! Enjoyed watching you two back on a boat again (I know from FB I have a couple of vids from this one to catch up on). This looks like a very beautiful & peaceful river to cruise. Lovely boat too! It has wonderful huge windows for viewing the river & nature...especially while dining!!
I continue to be amazed at how un-busy that beautiful part of the river is. I could understand if it was mid-winter, but at this time of the year it's very surprising.
Keep doing what your doing beautiful scenery of this great country so picturesque richard and Julia well done keep enjoying yourself till the next time cheery 👏👏👏
Looks gorgeous and idyllic. The drone shots are really great. And the dancing! Hope Julia is not missing her boys too much. I’m sure they will be getting treats and having a good time too this week and Joe will be getting his morning porridge 😊 Really looking forward to the next episode/s it’s been a lovely little series xxx
Loving this River cruise series Richard and Julia. Very entertaining and professional as always. I think where you moored up in Goring is near where George Michael used to live. He was such a talent and a lovely person. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the next installment 👍
Brilliant as always. We never tire of looking at shots of and from the water and the both of you are doing an amazing job of showing us the river and surround areas through your eyes. The changing seasons will always bring new perspectives. We're enjoying our virtual trip with the both of you. Thank you for inviting us along. We don't want it to end. 😎
You two are mellow and so am I watching your wonderful journey along the Thames. I do not want it to end. I have so enjoyed the scenery and music in these videos. Thank you so much. 😍💗
Around 20:55 some bonus railway content! 😁 While I do like railway things, and airplanes and spaceflight too, pootling along at canal and river speed is a lot closer to my preferred pace of life.
Another lovely video! It was not at all “samey” btw! Just loved the slower pace of life and lovely scenery. I think the hives could be stress-related. I get them too occasionally. Trusting they go soon. Good to see the lovely Julia dancing in a certain brand supermarket. Fun times! 💜Shame more ppl don’t do the same in supermarkets to liven them up a bit! 😉🤣
A lovely, gentle-paced, outing today. The "other" Goring looks interesting. A few more 'olde-worlde' buildings seem to have survived compared to it's namesake in Sussex. BTW, Manuka honey can be a cure-all for many skin infections.
Thank you Richard and Julia for sharing another adventure! Julia looked particularly beautiful in her teal dress, perfect color! I loved all the drone footage and just your wonderful personalities!! All the best to you both from Massachusetts!🙂
Must different on boat past villages long way and than driver in van hope enjoy boat with Julia u do great even video home or outdoor winter come soon and different seen soon
Almost walking distance of The Swan at Pangborne and you plan on going back.? YES another now Famous book by Jerome K. Jerome who started out writing a Guidebook but it just got very funny. Another book based on the Thames is of course about a Toad. With friends Ratty Mole and Badger. Two hints of your next river journey! With book in hand. Beal Park is next down and interesting for animals. Love from Tilehurst, David and Lily.
Lovely stuff. Goring Gap is a gap between two sets of hills with the Chilterns to the north and the Berkshire downs to the south and the Thames flows through it. Hope the bites didn’t itch too much. I find that if I’m by / on a river that something like Jungle Formula is really good to prevent being eaten!
Another splendid video in an amazing series so thanks for sharing. Julia has been brilliant driving the boat and battling thru illness tho I think Richard may have caught scurvy after all the recent maritime adventures (joke)
I have really enjoyed watching this journey, but I thought maybe be a little bit of fishing if you can,be a perfect way to catch dinner and cook it, I was just a thought on my behalf, thank you for the lovely content you both bring us thank you, Cheers mark
Morning ,just love the both of you ,love the way Julia corrects you Richard 😁. Lovely video ,may I suggest taking Eurax Richard ,its a cream for hives ,i brought some last year when I got gives for the first time ,it really works ,failing that a histamine tablet or doctors ,good luck hope Julia's throat is better .😁👍
Goring is great although it's a long time since I visited, a friend of mine managed a cheese shop at Streatley , the village at the other end of the bridge . A question ? the purpose of the large stick on the roof of the boat ?What a coincidence that both Gorings have a Gap. I guess you may have looked but the Goring Gap there is the narrow valley between the Chiltern Hills and the Berkshire Downs through which the Thames flows.
Hi lovely. The stick was picked up by Richard in case he needed a "barge pole to push off with" but because the hull is so shallow on The Pipedream we didn't use it 💜💜💜
As you were. Carry on Filming. The river is constantly changing with the light,, boats, people, animals, etc. and will look different going the other way. Greetings from Bali.
Hi Richard and Julia, As for your rash , I got the same 2 years ago, ended up going to hospital on Xmas day due to the heat down here. Saw a dermatologist and was told I have contact dermatitis ?? More common now with all the chemicals in fabrics and life , and as you get older you become more sensitive! I take a antihistamine every day and only use washing powder with no chemicals like enzymes or whiteners. Try different brands of tablets, as they are different and some did nothing for me! Hope this helps ! Lovely video best wishes to you both. Gregg.
You are not parked on Pangbourne meadow, more like Beale Park meadow. I was hoping you were going to visit Pangbourne but it appears you are going to miss it.
To make it better???? Just more of the same. The drone footage with lovely cello, piano and violins playing is great. A tour of the boat would have been good. Otherwise they are great videos.
Loving this series. So restful and calming.

Thanks again. Seeing your videos is making me want to go on another river trip. It’s been at least 10 years since our last trip on a friend’s boat.
Great dancing, Julia! Don't worry about the content, Richard, it's great, beautiful scenery and good to see you and Julia relaxing and unwinding and just enjoying your holiday. That's me all caught up, waiting for the next episode!

Just seeing Julia and you happy is
Content enough for me. Enjoying
This series.
Very kind!
Haven't watched your channel for a while. But love the new editing and intro.

Actually Richard a video of you and Julia just talking to each other is just as interesting as watching what is going on around the boat!
Thanks so much. We try to entertain n the way.
Regarding irritating spots/rash.
Did the previous occupants have pets? Dog-- cats.Just a thought.
Enjoying the blog,thanks.
I had them before getting on the boat - all gone now.

Will you give us a tour of the boat?
We do in the last episode (Friday)
Hi Richard and Julia,

Cheers, Gregg. It all clear up when I stopped scratching and picking the scabs! :)
@@RichardVobes Good to hear Richard 🙂
You are not parked on Pangbourne meadow, more like Beale Park meadow. I was hoping you were going to visit Pangbourne but it appears you are going to miss it.
Yes, we realized this afterwards.
A little further downstream you've got Mapledurham House (inspiration for Toad Hall)
Exceedingly good takes!
I'm loving the persistent occurrences of TMI
Lol
awesome video i love the river Thames i hope you do more in the future.
We certainly aim too.
To make it better???? Just more of the same. The drone footage with lovely cello, piano and violins playing is great. A tour of the boat would have been good. Otherwise they are great videos.
A tour of the boat comes in the final episode :)
I think that guy at the water station needs to put his top on as no one wants to view that.😝
❤
Calomine , pal of mine , butt cream , it is the small things
And they are small!
@@RichardVobes Big enough to fill a pram
Fabulous 😊
What sort of boat is this Richard?
Yeah… you keep filming the same stuff. How many more episodes are left?
What do you expect on a river cruise. Do remember you don't have to watch. No one is forcing you to view the views. :)
@@RichardVobes Nobody is forcing you to respond to comments either. I think that's a fair system.
Excellent!
Many thanks!
Richard you may have Shingles???
Maybe - it has all gone now.
Check it's not shingles?
only 8 months ago.
like no more about Boat you are on what look like inside
I am not sure that you were writing in English there.
Just keep filming anything chill out
Doing our best! Thanks.
