Can you show the top of the suspension assembly and what you used

I only used a thread with a thickness of 1mm that goes through the top of the pendulum rod. This clock doesn't use a suspension spring.

I like these open gear clocks but in my house the thing would be choked with dust in a few months, and murder to clean lol

Haha, I completely agree. I re-installed the dial and side doors to reduce the amount of dust that could enter.

Whast suspension spring does this clock require. I assume a three pound weight

Do you mean the suspension spring of the pendulum? I'm not sure what the weight of the pendulum is, it could be between 1 and 3 pounds. This clock doesn't use a suspension spring, it just uses a very small rope/string to hold the pendulum.

Useful demo, thanks. Or, with longer rope, it would sound for longer.
