Rock knew that it was going to be a disaster if he went out there, because fans hated Roman as much as they hated Rocky Maivia - how Vince & Co. seemed to disregard how and why Rock became a sensational star and refused to switch up anything with Roman's presentation is beyond me
@zanethind yeah cos The Rock ruined it right after Wrestlemania on Raw. We can't even expect Cody to lose until he's back so none of the drama with AJ Styles worked regardless of how amazing the match itself was. They also dropped the ball with KO but ig that's in preparation for KO and Randy going heel. Who knows?
@zanethindHonestly I think anyone would have had a very difficult time following up Roman’s 4 year monster of a reign. Cody’s doing just ok but it was always going to pale in comparison to the chase.
More so, the bookers and decision makers needed to see Roman get exposed by Cena, as Kurt watched gleefully (not to say he was against Roman) and the crowd hung on every word Cena said in that segment - unfortunately, they still didn't get the hint that fans hated that form of Roman, as they kept him the same for another year or two, after 3 excruciating years him being booed to Hell
Roman just wasn't emotional because of him losing the belt. I'm pretty sure he decided it was time to let it go it was also the anniversary of Umaga passing away R.i.p Umaga
God, Ricochet imo should have asked for his release after his crown jewel match. Also, Brock Lesnar squashing Ricochet was like watching him squash Kofi Kingston again. Everyone knew Ricochet wasn’t beating Brock but we all thought at the very least Ricochet would put up a fight. The only difference between those two matches was Kofi’s match only last 10 seconds while Ricochet’s match last 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Sorry, I meant to say the Super Showdown ppv. Brock fought Cain Velasquez at crown jewel not Ricochet and we all know how that match turned out. Again sorry about that everyone.

Let's not forget Liv Morgan at the 2022 Money in the bank. Even as she made her way to the ring before the ladder match, she was having trouble keeping her emotions in check. Then she just let it all out after defeating Ronda Rousey for the Smackdown women's championship later that night. It was justified as Liv finally won her first title after 8 years in the company.
That plus it helped with the storytelling it was like a kingdom heartesque scene where the darkness would fade off the heartless as soon as they got their heart back
Take into account that Roman wasn’t upset so much at the match loss, but the day he lost the title is also around the time his brother Rosey died. Having to contend with his loss, remembrance of his brother, and his continuing battle with leukemia I’m sure all factored into Reign’s emotional outburst.
For WM 28 i 100% John's reason for being frustrated, John was full time during that time and to have a part timer come and win hits different, and im pretty sure John didn't know there was going to be a pt 2 at that time
I must be the only one that wasn't surprised that Drew lost to Roman at Clash at the Castle. I knew Drew wasn't going to win. At that point in Roman's title run he was so dominant the only way he was going to lose was at Mania.
@THEchakkid Well, Rock at the beginning wanted Rock v Roman yeah, but after fans backlash it was his idea to turn heel & make it what it turned out to be
I was like that when Bryan Danielson came out to the Final countdown song other week ,,I think that match was a bit better as it was truly unpredictable who was guna win but the Cody match was kinda predictable

Ronda's response was so hilarious because that pin is the most shoulder-in-mat pin that I have ever seen, even normal pins with one leg lifted up have less of a shoulder-in-mat than that botch, her face after that and Becky's face winning a title she wasn't supposed to are some of the funniest expressions in WWE cuz they were 100% real

I never understood why Roman got upset about dropping the title. He was a part-timer but still had the best title reign since the Hulk Hogan. Roman truly embodied his namesake, Roman Reigns, as it will take a long time for someone to beat his record.
I mean, it was the end of an era. And the end of how things were. Can't blame a guy for getting emotional over having to put a period on that chapter of the Bloodline and his historic reign as champion. Plus he's had to deal with a lot of stuff beyond the ring as well. I don't think he was upset so much as just looking back at what had been and getting emotional.
The 2017 cena reigns promo exchange was entirely scripted. Word for word. I was surprised too. But roman did not lose his train of thought. He just sports entertained us
I think The Undertaker v Goldberg was definitely a combination of Goldberg not being the best technical wrestler out there and The Undertaking's age preventing him from being able to carry the match in the way he would have in the 90s or 2000s. If Goldberg was a better wrestler it would have been fine and if Undertaker was younger he'd have been able to carry the match but at that point his body had been beat up for 30+ years and Goldberg is just a big dumb football player so it takes a lot of physicality to work with someone like him and Taker had to have been in his 50s at that point or damn near it.
It's kinda weird the way Becky pinned Rhonda. It almost looks like she did not even let her even try to kick out. You can see clearly that she tried to get out. Why doesn't the ref to know not to count to 3 anyway? Seems hard to blame Rhonda for that.
I don't believe for a second the rock made the call to let cody win the title. Im more into cody and HHHs story of HHH saw the reaction and changed it.
Rousey had so many botches in that wm35 main event. The biggest one was tbe finish. To no ones surprise she quit following the ppv. She didnt want to deal with the backlash. She never shouldve been in the match to begin with. All she had to do was agree to tap out to becky and an actual armbar not her elbow stretch submission that she called an armbar.
I am fine with The Rock beating Cena in fact it was a great ending because it's one you'd least expect but when you think about it The Rock should have putted Cena over because while John was the face it is still fitting if The Rock putted over a newer talent who was John Cena so for the Rock to win and not put Cena over is not only insulting but is very embarrassing! Again I don't mind Rock winning but if I'm being for real Cena should have just won the match and been put over and then a year later they fight again for Cena to win, If your gonna do that then just allow Cena to win at 28
