Quick observation, but I really want to give Ocho his flowers. In early Nightcap days, it was apparent that his level of knowledge of pro basketball was rudimentary at best. But, what did he do…he studied and put in the work and you can tell. This isn’t unlike the Shay method. Constantly improving their repertoire, not just as analysts or interviewers, but as respected sports pundits. Ocho rally affirms it for me when I saw him sit in on First Take. Super professional, eloquent, humorous when it counts without it being clowny and overkill, which is hard t do.. his debates either Unc are much more on par now then they used to be. Don’t believe me, pull up a vid from 3/4 months ago and you will most definitely see the growth. 👏🏼

Ocho always been good on tv for years. On the NFL network. He knows how to act on tv. What he does on night cap is being a character and playing like he always say. Now when it comes to basketball yea he has got his knowledge up some. This football season he better be able to criticize players and come up with excuses why they performed bad. And cut out some of the playing around. But he has had some growth. That vacation was needed.

Man, when I played football at Central Connecticut back in 1993, our first practice we had about 90 dudes. Coach made us run 3 miles in under 25 minutes. We started at 1pm and by the 9 pm meeting we had 65 dudes and my first roommate went home that day. Football was different then and we were built different. No knock on the youngstas, they not built like us.

The difference in the top Olympic Basketball is the depth. France, Germany, Greece etc can contend eith their starting 5 against ours (US). BUT our backups are All world players, snd theirs are just Guys. Thats ehy the scores are always close at first then come the backups and we dominate.
Not really most of the other countries have a max of 5 NBA players on a team and 1-2 maybe actually great nba players (ie Canada, France not Serbia they only have 1 MVP like Greece only has Giannis) so with that being typed, I don’t think that’s why scores be close I think it’s close because our starters start slow and the bench is full of closers nothing else
