I asked Sean to write this based on a series of life events. The first movement is based on that feeling that your kids have the first time they see a natural wonder like the Grand Canyon, or Glacier National Park. I wanted him to capture that feeling in music. The second movement is a musical interpretation of a child's life dreams and the potential of life a child feels when they are young. The third movement is the twists and turns that life brings you, written disjunct in mixed meter as a representation of the unpredictability of life.
