What about negative values? To tame transients that were overly processed? Delta listen would be a great addition. I like the plugin.

    • @markwincek6688
      @markwincek6688 Год назад

You can achieve negative values by boosting the same amount you want to tame > bouncing the output as its own .wav > reverse its polarity > sum it with the original to get the delta > reverse the polarity of the delta (at least I think... triple negatives are always confusing) > then sum that with the original.
I just tested this with a transient processor and it does work. But of course it's very cumbersome. I'm pretty sure this process is what having a negative value knob would actually do in the plugin anyways, but until they update it with such a feature, this is a doable workaround.

Just got it. It's very good. It sorta acts like the bass, midrange and treble of an amp or receiver that I used to use, way before you were born. Nice plugin. I'm gonna mess around with it and give an update to this comment. Good job Michael.

I own it now. I love it. I made a template with a drum kit and a drum bus. I have Reviver and the Youlean Loudness Meter on the Master. The both work great, as expected, coming from you. My mixes are cleaner and sound like they're live and not electronic. Outstanding plugin. Thanks again Michael. You're the bestest.

👍Thump up to you for haven't used an other complex downloader or iLok thingies. We don't like that and we have already too much apps on our disk. Download, unzip, click installer, enter a licence number if necessary and done. That's how everything should work.
And obvisouly an other 👍 because it's not on subscribtion. A real plugin we can realy own and don't rent.

Thanks for responding to the initial feedback, including the distinction between filtering and EQ. However, this video raised a new question. In the second half of your video, you're seen adjusting input and output gains separately from each other, all the while you were explaining how useful linking the giant knobs had been. How come there's no "inverse link" feature for the little gain knobs then? It would make gain-matched A/B testing possible as well as getting the delta audio trivial.

Thank you for the video and visual explanation; even with all this information being in the manual, this helps me so much. I picked up this plugin earlier and have mostly been playing with it for a few hours. I noticed myself doing the same thing with the input and output levels that you mentioned with the band knobs -- would it be possible to add an optional inverse link button for input and output gain?
Thank you for the work you put into this, and thank you for the discount code this week! I can totally see this being worth the full price, but with other life expenses this brought it to a more affordable spot for me.

Only 6 minutes into the video so forgive me if you cover this later, but with regards to keeping the plugin simple to use:
You could do what Slate did with the FGX-2, which is to have a button near the top that switches the plugin into "advanced" mode, which provides more controls (like adjustable bands/crossover points, and whatever else you might want to add to it). That way you get to keep the plugin simple and clean with a slim UI for those who want it that way, and also provide the one-click added flexibility for those who want that extra control.
For what it's worth, I much prefer plugins that do it the FGX-2 way, as opposed to when companies have 2 different plugins for a simple version and an advanced version. I understand that being useful for resource heavy plugins when you have a light version and a full version, but for those that aren't that - just give us a damn toggle! Our plugin lists are already huge lol

Question about the Oversampling.... Were you also using ultrasonic filters as well? To literally stop foldback distortion from coming back in and aliasing? Instead of just relying on Oversampling? When just using oversampling sometimes it takes like around 16x to get rid some high order stuff effectively..... Depending on the level of nonlinearity. Ultrasonic filtering seems like a really good solution in parallel with Oversampling.

I might need to pick this up this week with the sale price. Definitely keeping this one on my radar. As a music producer with serious hearing issues this sort of thing helps get a decent output without playing with EQs and watching visuals. I can't hear certain frequencies at all so what may sound ok to me may not sound good to someone else; this is literally a game changer for me.

On some valued phone I hear the low band changes well. But the mid/high changes I can't really hear on these devices on the first track. On headphones it's clearly noticable. Could be possible new phones own internal limiters to prevent damage or make the sound more even to the speakers.
On the vocal track it's noticable.
    I'm on 50% phone volume.
On your first video it's a lot more noticeable in the demos.
