  • RS-44 Sputnik Satellite 🛰️ reception with two way radio contact on UHF/VHF SSB.
The sat position looked good with an overhead pass from North to South giving me a nice opportunity to test the reception quality of my satellite station with the new Wimo Mini 70 Preamp.
Thank you to all stations worked via the satellite. Some very nice contacts and all good signal quality.
Thanks for watching hit the buttons and come back again soon for more M0YKS Ham Radio uploads. 73

@@bassangler73 thanks bro. I managed St Paul's Island on the next pass. I was hearing him really well with the preamp and got him near the end of the footprint so well pleased with it 👍

ALL very interesting and great to have it done for you by a computer, how many times does the satellite you're using come round, thanks for the show ALAN CT, 26, 48, 70. READY to take his test for the big HF, ps when I saw you talking to the space station sometime ago on handhelds in your garden, was bloody brilliant, But just wondering how often does the space station come round in one day, please and how many times do you get to talk to them, sorry for the big questions. Alan 💯👍

Hi Alan thanks for watching and leaving the comment. Glad you liked the setup especially the outside Arrow antenna and hand held radios. There are quite a few different satellites to operate. They all pass in range about 4 times each per Day. Sometimes a couple more. The orbit path and direction changes constantly so the ISS and satellite pass by at different times. At the moment the ISS is passing us in UK from 1am to around 9 am so I miss it. It will get earlier every day. In about two weeks it will be early evening passes in range. So to answer your questions this is the best way to explain. The tracking software has to be updated every couple of days so you are accurately tracking. If you don't do updates you won't be on at the right time it's in range due to its altering position

Good Morning Andrey, nice to see you here on the channel. Just running barefoot about 30 watts on the uplink but the antenna helps with the gain. 73 good DX
