  • Black Modernism, the adaptation and influence of the Black American experience in modern architecture and design, has been vastly undervalued and under-researched. However, the works of Black American architects and their design contributions are still present and visible today. Join curator and scholar Dr. Michelle Wilkinson for a discussion with architects, preservationists, and historians on the challenges and opportunities of stewarding and interpreting Black Modernism and the cultural significance of Black American architects.
