The 2024 International Coastal Clean-Up

In this episode, we provide updates from Volusia County and welcome guests Nicole Weiss, Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) Field Manager, and Brooke DeRuwe, Permitting Associate from Environmental Management. We discuss the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) taking place on Saturday, September 21, from 8 to 11 a.m. Residents can join the effort at over 20 sites along the beach, Halifax River, and Indian River. To participate, register at www.volusia.org/cleanup by September 8. Participants are encouraged to bring garden gloves, drinking water in refillable bottles, and buckets for collecting trash. Please wear a hat, sunscreen, comfortable clothing, and suitable outdoor footwear. The first 1,000 preregistered participants will receive a special giveaway item at the end of the event.
