    I did a live gameday walk in 2021 so check it out to see what the neighborhood looks like post-Covid and what restaurants are around now that you might want to check out. ruclips.net/video/nrnZrZpzqlA/видео.html

      The bicycle valet was revolutionary when it opened 10 years ago. Now I believe a few other MLB parks offer something similar.

    $10 bottomless soda is a bargain, especially on hot days or with family. Blue circulator takes you to the park. Grand China (mambo chicken) is a block away, but you have to specifically ask for the sauce.

    I try to go to a sporting event whenever I go somewhere, I went to Nationals Park when I went to DC in May and very much enjoyed it. It has a much similar setup as Target Field (Minnesota Twins).

      Nice. Both parks did open around the same time and used the same architect.

    I was just at Nationals Park for the first time on Sunday. I live near Pittsburgh. My mom and I stayed at the AC Hotel Washington DC Capitol Hill Navy Yard. It was a half mile away from Nats Park so we just walked from the hotel to the ballpark. I enjoyed the ballpark.

    How is section 225? I couldn't find it in your blog post. It is on the first base side which seems like it's more in the shade but since it's on the mezz I don't know if it's covered?

    • @TripHacksDC

      The seats farther back are under cover but depending on the time of day and angle of the sun you might not be in the shade.

    Hey Rob. Do you have any advice for DC United soccer game? E.g., seat choice, food around, how to get to Audi Stadium, etc.

    • @TripHacksDC
      @TripHacksDC  5 лет назад

      In 2019 there isn't much in the immediate vicinity (yet) so follow the advice in the baseball videos. I don't have any recommendations for seat choice. Depends a lot of personal preferences.

    Thanks for your tip to go see a Baseball game as an evening activity when visiting DC - I've just booked our tickets to a Nationals game in August this year.
    Cue my dumb question: the game starts at 6.45pm, if we get to our seats after this time (i.e. coz we're doing touristy things beforehand) are we going to miss anything amazing?
    (I apologise, as a British/New Zealander I know next to nothing about baseball)

    Are seats in sections 237-243 any good (will they be in the shade?) Or should I consider higherup seats like 403-409, 416-420, and 222-236 -> (even number sections)

    • @TripHacksDC
      @TripHacksDC  2 года назад +1

      Most of those sections are not shaded. Check out www.shadedseats.com/nationals-park-shaded-seats/

      Maybe. The Nationals videos have been among my least popular videos, so unfortunately spots videos are not my top priority.

    Hi Rob! Can you make a video about areas of DC that tourists should stay away from? Like areas that are dangerous or not very friendly to tourists? That would be a big help! Thanks!

    • @TripHacksDC
      @TripHacksDC  6 лет назад +3

      I'm not going to make this video because safety is subjective and I don't want to harm any local businesses by telling people to stay away. The ares in my Best Areas to Stay video are all great for tourists and are where most of the major sites are located: ruclips.net/video/OTv8XnSdFnM/видео.html

      We're not talking Philly. I've been to a dozen games or so and have never seen a fan mistreated, booed, or molested in any way. Nationals fans are a very tame lot.

      @@austinhodgins6369 Yeah I'm not sure what I was thinking last year. I guess I connected a video about attending a DC baseball game and a person asking about unsafe areas. Philly was the first city that came to mind that has a reputation for being rude to opposing fans.

    The way the Nats are playing nowadays I don't think anyone will want to go to the games now LOL I don't sit in my seat the whole game, once in a while I get up and walk around the stadium and watch the game from different places. Oh and also don't bring any selfie sticks or tripods or gorilla pods or anything like that, I brought my gorilla pod last time and they confiscated it, but no worries, it was just one of those cheap imitation ones I bought on ebay for like 8 bucks
