As someone who has stayed playing only LN and not SN, I can only say I miss you guys a lot😭 now everyone is focusing more in SN, which is just fine and I obviously can't complain but can't help feeling lonely these days🤧

I'm playing both and still love both. I think because SN is new and has different features it's been on my mind more, but I love LN as much as I loved it on the launch date. To me it feels like the devs are no longer updating things in the game and are trying to get as much money as possible before the game ends with events, and that kind of scares me lol. But I have like 12000 association coins, I don't even know how many crystal roses that I can't use, and hundreds of home pavilion tickets, so I'm getting more and more annoyed with the endless events and no updates to stores
Personally I have exactly zero interest in Shining Nikki. I really dislike the look of it and will be staying on LN

I'm also trying to reduce spending my money on love nikki, i was like "it's not only nikki who needs new shoes and new clothes" and i don't spend time in starry corridor too 🤣

I prefer playing LN F2P! I feel like because I have more limited diamonds, my wardrobe feels more personalized to me, if that makes sense? Because it only has clothes I like!
pre-vid comment bc i'll miss the premiere: I never spent THAT much money on the game each month (I just got to V9 and I've been playing for over three (4?) years) since I'm a student, but just recently I made the decision that I won't be spending any money on the game UNLESS I really want something. Nowadays I have real life things I want to spend money on, so I've made a conscious choice of prioritizing them over a mobile game. I've never been big on spending mobile games (even though i have/still play few gacha-like games), so LN was a first for me. I'm definitely curious to hear what you, and other commenters, have to say!
i love these pre-vid comments, you're so sweet. and YES we've both played aroudn 3-4 years and we're both v9 AND we;re students so we're vibing. i have also not spent on any video games prior to LN (well minus league) so YA. im glad we're slowing down our purchases on the game ╥﹏╥

Thanks Effie! I completely agree, I used to spend so much money, now I only spend to recharge for monthly cards. It kills me not to get those daily diamonds. More people need to realize this. Your videos actually helped me not spend many times ♥
YESSSS those daily diamonds were the bomb, but now i've even cut back on the monthly cards since i dont spend dias on many events now - i can save more and spend less. and (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧! GLAD my videos helped u out
How nostalgic. I used to play Love Nikki but then I quit since I was addicted and would stay up late and play the game because of FOMO. I burned out after forcing myself to play for months. I still watch your vids from time to time but there is a lot of content creators for LN that have shifted their time (and money) towards shining nikki. Anyways glad to see your doing well and quitting all the outrageously priced recharges. I mean they charge $100 for 5 pixel outfits…which now that I have stopped playing and cleared my mind is crazy since that is like $ 130 CAD

LN is the first time I've payed for things in game and I ALWAYS make sure that when I spend it's worth it for me.
I, too, have have already dressed all my avatars and literally, besides my main, I have not changed them. My main itself is only updated rarely.
I don't do SC, either - only stay on the main dress up area. I do use all of the recharge items, though - they're just so beautiful ❤️

Leaving a pre-vid comment since I might miss the premiere bc it's during one of my classes. First, I thought the title said that you spent $500 on the new Shining Nikki hell event, which is absolutely out of the ball park wrong and I am honestly impressed by how bad my reading comprehension has become lmaoo. In regards to the actual topic of the video, I stopped spending because they stopped releasing suits I wanted lmaooo. Though I am curious to hear your story 👀 LN has changed a lot in the span of a year so this is bound to be an interesting video.

You go girl! I’m feeling the same, honestly. I was ready to drop a hundo on lucky bags in april, but then they didn’t happen. Then shining nikki came out and I’ve been playing and enjoying that a lot more than LN. So by the time lucky bags came around in october, I had the restraint to not buy any of them. The pav suits were way better anyway.
YESSS financially liberated XD this game was eating at my monthly savings and really i shouldve been more smart with my money. and good on you for not buying the lucky bags, i kno w it can be dang tempting XD
I’m committed to staying V0 in SN, because personally I enjoy playing in LN more. The only exceptions I’m allowing myself are if I end up needing to recharge to get the things I already know I really want (the Eva collab, the Belle suit Disney collab, and the blood moon background bc I’ve notice in SN backgrounds are often small recharges separate from events).
I don’t regret any of the suits I have bought in LN-typically if I get a suit I don’t use, it’s a lower tier in a lineup for a suit I DO really want & use. I did figure out pretty early on in playing LN that if it’s not a spooky/gothic suit, or not at least conducive to spooky/dark looks, then I probably won’t use it. This helps me skipping both events and recharges that I won’t actually use, so my wardrobe is more or less aligned with what I actually like having to play with. I get enough stuff for other aesthetics incidentally that I don’t feel my wardrobe is lacking. I have also noticed that as my wardrobe grows it becomes easier to skip recharges especially, because usually I can honestly say that I already have something I’d use over whatever piece of the new suit I’m looking at so I don’t need to buy it.

I made a similar decision, just that I stay V0 in SN. None of my friends play it, I'm not too much into the 3D stuff, so overall, it's absolutely not worth putting money into it and until now I haven't either.
I play it, but since it's more expensive, I feel like, why even bother spending on it, if you're already spending money in LN, which you're way more serious about?

Totally agree. I'm not into 3D stuff either. I'm impressed about Shining Nikki's model textures and rendering capabilities, but I feel its 3D nature limits the players' creativity. It binds them to fixed poses and a limited number of elements that can be added into a picture (otherwise the game wouldn't run smoothly on several phones). And, as you just said, SN is way more expensive. Even if I could save some bucks, they wouldn't be enough to get anything decent. My favourite suits are around $50, which is an insane amount of money for someone living in a third world country.
I'm staying with Love Nikki, focusing on the old suits I couldn't get because I started playing two years after its release.
I used to love LN, I played for a very long time I think 5 years or so, I was never a big spender but I always recharged the monthly card. After Paper released SN I was so invested that I never recharged again in LN. For me SN is superior in every single thing than LN, now playing LN feels so static, basically if an outfit doesn't have a pose it looks so plain for me while in SN even the chapters suits are beautiful. I don't think I'll play LN like before but I loved the game and the it's community

Literally just bought Sm on SN yesterday😶. But ya I’ve felt I haven’t bought anything on LN in months. The only time I buy anything on these games is when I really like sm and/or I have a gift card. Like an apple gift card. I’ve never whaled, I’m not someone who buys things often. I don’t like shopping and I’m not a very material person. These Nikki games are the one of the ways I let myself go and treat myself a bit. Even so I can usually convince myself not to buy something.
yeah i found that with buying less and less, it's easier to convince myself not to buy something because if i was okay not buying the PREVIOUS thing i wanted to buy, then i can be ok THIS time for not buying something i want to buy :)

I'm not spending anymore either, but it's because all of the suits are starting to look the same to me, and I have SO much stuff that I can't find pieces or forget things even exist. I love my wardrobe, I can make anything I want for any theme, plus I'll have the daily diamond card rewards for like over a year still, I'm set! Instead of events I wish they'd create more association store suits, styling contest suits, and of course finish the freaking story lol
Honestly to stop spending is really hard, I went through the temptation of spending when I first stopped. However, it makes you feel more free though after you get over that temptation. It’s been 2 or 3 years since I’ve spent my own money. Ofc I will spend giveaway money😂.
I do occasionally buy monthly cards during SN hells, but only when there’s a suit recharge. I don’t need to complete the suit but getting parts of it at least makes me feel like I’m getting something in return lol. But I really need to stop spending diamonds on every random event in SN! 😭 other than that I don’t have any money saving problems :)
IT'S OS HARD, sometimes i just wanna spend the extra 50 dias for guild donation for the guild coins ╥﹏╥ but i should just be patient. i totally get what you mean!

Fluffy Heart wasn't really free. It was a 999 diamond consumption event.
I was thinking that one day LN will stop being relevant, and like so many online games, servers will be closed and all money invested will be gone forever... I wish there will be an offline starry corridor to use and keep the suits that so many ppl worked so hard to get. I don't think it will e any time soon but eventually it will happen...
me too, i've had this same thought for a while and it's actually encouraged me to spend my diamonds more and not worry so much about saving them. i'm okay with spending some real life money and the game won't be around forever so why not just get what i want while i still can. i really hope there will be some sort of online archive when it inevitably happens though (hopefully in the very distant future lol)
I basically have two rules for recharging, and so far they're pretty effective:
-I can't recharge for more than €25 at once, and those times i spend €25 have be rare (i think i have spent that amount only once, maybe twice)
-I have to genuinely like the suit(s), never spend for the diamonds. I don't like this month's €5 suit? Sucks, no monthly card.
I did buy this month's suit, but the last time i recharged was easter so i think that's pretty good. It pained me to skip flame of sin flower, but it be like that sometimes
recently i only went for the lucky bags to get the bird girl on the roof (and i got her!) but otherwise i havent gotten anything except a few monthly cards for awhile now. I like the recharge suits way more in LN compared to SN though, i only really spend in SN for the hell suits/monthly cards.
omg the bird girl is such a good outfit - the bg items are soooooo cooooool. and monthly cards are the most worth item to buy in LN by far. im salty that SN has monthly cards... and premium cards though lOL
I'm not a fan of SC. I play LN since launch and have 80% of wardrobe. I don't even know how to use it anymore... It's so overwhelming.
For last couple of months hell events were the only events that got me excited. Other than that whenever I see new suit I have a feeling I already own half of the clothes.
Although I still enjoy LN I moved my credit card to SN. It's fresh, it's different. I have an experience now however. I know that it is not worth spending money on every single event/recharge becuase in a year I will not use most of the clothes :D
YAAAAA i totally agree - i have no idea how to maneuver through my wardrobe. there are so many items i remembered having, but i dont know what category they're in/what they're called/what suit they're from so i can never find it and i give up. they really need a new way to organize the wardrobe or else 90% of our items just go to waste

OH yes SN is a $$ hole, it's not that f2p friendly but it's so incredibly fun. ya i think lucky bags and hell events and diamond cards are the only things worth it now
I went from spending a lot to none for financial reasons, the game hasn't been as fun.. though I still log on daily for free diamonds. I like knowing I will still be able to do an event in the future, even if I can't buy diamonds or recharges anymore.

I have 61% wardrobe, and I don't know what to always use, and I have a new look every week + weekend. And I've yet to run out of outfits to make.
The kicker is I'm a V0 and have all the hell suites in-game at the moment, and I hardly use some of them, cuz I have so much stuff.
I even have some of the outfits shown here cuz they came back for "free" in-game currency, but you get my point.
I set myself a goal to see how many % wardrobe I can get before spending money is the only way to get father.
I so far have yet to hit a wall on that, so the challenge is fun for me. I know I'll get bored by a game if it's too easy, and I started the game out not having much money.
Things are better now, but now it's a pride thing. I wanna reach my goal before I can even fathom spending money.

@@LoveEffie set yourself small goals at first then the big suites are easier to craft afterwards. I for one like crafting recolors so I can share what they look like in game with others. it gives the ones I share them with a chance to pick what form of the suite they love so they can focus their crafting the form they like. cuz the wiki is nice but often use promo images.(I also craft hidden suites recolors) So I'd rather see for my self, how they look.

I'm a V0 player and I love playing love Nikki
I stopped spending money on LN because I'm spending in SN. Over time as the game goes on it gets easier and easier to skip suits and save for what you love. In LN I have 30,000 diamonds saved and haven't recharged in a while. In SN I've been spending as it's harder to save at the start. I'll slow down and stop spending there too once my favourite events are done and I can save more.
the way i stopped spending is i found other games to take up my time lol. i spend on those now but i dont think its ever as much as i spent on ln bc i played ln for so much longer. sn is one of those games i'm gravitating to and i havent bought a single recharge there other than the suits you get to pay like about $5 for at the beginning. just battlepass and privilege card once. The only other game is genshin impact which i only spend on battlepass occasionally and welkin (basically daily gems if you dont know) but thats only if im desperate. Battlepass is more of a luxury thing imo like if u have $15 to throw away. i also took a break from ln and that kinda helped and now i'm back. only reason i bought the daily gems is so that i have a reason to log in everyday to get back into routine.
ya LN is one of the most expensive games ive ever played, so definitely redirecting your energy to other games can help curb the spending. congrats on not spending on SN yet, it's also very tempting to spend on that game too XD
The usefulness of the suits is becoming quite an issue. I've recharged a couple of times only to get the V3 privileges but, although I'd like to afford certain recharges, I've always wondered if they're really worth their price. I've spent thousands of diamonds on suits I barely use and I'm sure that something similar happens with expensive recharges. The game is always coming with new suits, giving us very little time to enjoy the ones we have. And, to make things worse, the drawings are getting better but the designs have become repetitive. We constantly get suits of the same styles, so many of them have started looking like remakes of the previous ones.
I honestly deleted Love Nikki, because I wasn't enjoying it anymore. I prefer Shining Nikki more. 💀
