There may be in the future but the city will still rely on the BRT as the primary system. The metro system is planned for the Dodoma city, there it will be the primary commuting system.

All i can dar es salaam is really big🤌 , it is the largest city in East Africa by land area and every district/ municipal has its own cbd area . Once you live and get adopted to the way of life of dar and get used to the hot weather i am sure you will never leave😂😂😂 Fun fact dar es salaam never sleeps it is 24/7 active
