My son and I did this after watching this video, everything fits perfectly. We also added a 14” electric front tire conversion with 1000 watt battery… she’s a fast hot rod!
Mine just came in yesterday.. In 6'2, and 220lbs.. and man I was having a blast, my kids thought it was hilarious.. Now I'm on youtube figuring out how to not have it neighbors coming out to see wtf is going on. Lmfao Appreciate the video.. Definitely grabbing rubber tires, but I found an etsy shop that makes custom trike wheels. Rubber tired will be same dimensions as the wheels now, and they're making the pvc pipe in different colors. Costing a ton.. But totally worth it... lol
I think I might try this. But with this mind mind, I'm wondering what the plastic wheel bearings specs are. Initially, if it had the 32mm OD, you could use them in the rubber wheels
Do you have a part number for these wheels? I saw in the comments they were supposed to be temporarily out of stock but I’m still not seeing them on the site.
Unfortunately they still appear to be out of stock. I'm looking at alternate solutions and will publish new videos about those. In the meantime, I publish all the info on this page: www.engineerable.com/single-post/drift-trike-upgrades-and-mods-for-razor-dxt-pedal-drift-trike

The problem with the cheap hand truck wheels is that the bearings and structure is not stable if just using one wheel. In this post, I show how to use 2 of those wheels per side to make a more stable wheel. www.engineerable.com/single-post/drift-trike-upgrades-and-mods-for-razor-dxt-pedal-drift-trike
TRIAD VANGUARD WHEEL SET I did this mod to my DXT. The bearing that came with the Vanguards had the 15mm ID. I used the same sleeve bearings you recommended for the Razor pneumatic tire upgrade. After that I used this McMaster Carr Metric Press-Fit Drill Bushing with Chamfer on One End, 12 mm ID, 22 mm OD, 16 mm Long to space the wheel properly. This was super simple and the Vanguards are pretty awesome! These are heavy duty wheels with very thick PVC sleeves. ▼ WHERE TO BUY: ▶ Triad Vanguard Wheel Set ▶ Buy from Rideminded
Hey, looking at picking up the parts for this conversion and I am not seeing the pneumatic wheels on the razor site anymore (not sure if this changed since you made the video). I found the inner tubs and the treads, but no hubs or prebuild assemblies. Did you buy them from razor or elsewhere?
I did buy them from Razor. Maybe this mod video has sold them out 😂. I see a few sites selling them for $90+ (I paid ~$62 for pair), but most sites are out of stock. Hopefully this is temporary, because the alternative 10" go cart tires get expensive and complicated (tire, tube, rim, hub and bushings have to be purchased separately). I will try to do another mod using cheap 10" Harbor Freight tires, 2 on each side.
Got an answer back from Razor. They are only temporarily out of stock. Hello, Thank you for inquiring. These DXT wheels W20130599048 are currently out of stock. We do have them on order and expecting more around the end of January. Razor
Not a question is regards to the back wheels................Does the front wheel have "free spin" or do you always have to keep pedaling? Basically, if going downhill, do the pedals always need to be turning or can you stop pedaling and coast down a hill?
The front wheel does coast forward. I wish it coasted backwards too, because if you spin out and the wheel starts rolling backwards, the pedals start to spin backwards, but this is how all drift trikes are.

Ya man the biggest problem I have with it is how loud those rear wheels are but it is super fun to play with the kids 😂 thanks for the video!
@@rcppop3090 Yep, the drift sleeve make it super quite
The following bearing 6201 - RS BEARING (ID: 12mm, OD: 32mm) might work instead of pressing a 12mm sleeve. The bearing is only 1mm wider
Thanks, I will check. Let me know if you try it.

With the Plastic Wheel To Rubber Wheel Conversion... did you lose any speed due to resistance?
Not at all! It's faster, smoother and quieter. The stock blow molded plastic wheels are junk in comparison to the rubber wheel
If I was going for speed.. curious how well this thing handles with the rubber tires? No drifting just bombing?
The rubber tires are sick compared to stock wheels. Super smooth, quite, and fast.

how about rubber tire over the plastic wheels
Can you explain more what you're thinking?
@engineerable I thinking fit a tire over the back wheels . If it fits .just a idea don't know if it would work

Bought one used for $20 but the crank spins freely it won’t make the wheel turn what could be the cause?
You'll need to take the hub apart and fix the ratchet pawl/freewheel that's.
What size bolt did you use?
