I have seen absolute proof that God is working through the Osteen family, by a very simple means. I pray, & ask to hear Jesus' voice, through the right Word resource. And I have seen such astonishing, specific, precise matching Words, through their life application writing, sermons & Bible devotions on occasions of need, that it was clear it was a true answer. (1 simple example, I had prayed to know God's will, & a daily Word spoke of God's will, & the only specific item it mentioned was going back to college. I asked God another day if He was truly showing me to go back to college, & I happened to read a life application Word by Joel Osteen, & the teaching Word right on that page spoke of going back to college. This happened, initially, FOUR TIMES, & then even more times after that). Different people have different needs than you; (for example, people who have had their lives ripped apart by abuse issues find God working to provide healing & hope through such a ministry as Joel Osteen, as one arm of the Christian Church/ Body of Christ. Maybe you have not suffered extreme abuse & pain & loss or the like, or do not have the needs some people have, etc. But that does not mean everyone has the same needs as you, or that God wants to speak the same thing to people in need as He does to you. You have no idea what you are working to try to remove from God's work in this world. People would be destroyed if you succeeded. You are actually the one inflicting harm, but do not realize it). God does not work the same through all people in the Body of Christ. The Osteen's are teaching a "life application" of God's Word, which, as a person with a degree in Theology myself, have come to realize is the big point most of their critics don't seem to perceive. They are not always teaching a direct Bible lesson or doctrine, etc. Also, Look at God's creation, & all the variety He put forth. He is doing the same in the Spirit. I am sorry, but all preachers will not be like your mold, & God is not the one having a problem with that. It is God you are fighting, FYI.
I will also add that you do not realize that preachers like the Osteen are preaching Bible points/ principles/ standards, but in a down to earth application, in a way that brings the Bible to LIFE. They are like a great story teller, with a powerful, valuable gift to bring a story to life. I heard the Bible in ways that never struck me so deeply & powerfully before, through ministers people like you criticize, like Joyce Meyer, Lisa Osteen Comes, Joel Osteen. You are JUST PLAIN WRONG.
