I have listened to Pastor Jennings, and I agree with his teaching on some subjects, but he is wrong about Christmas trees; Jeremiah is talking about idol-making, not having a Christmas tree, and there is nothing written about Christmas trees in the Bible. If you read more, you'll find that the writer is saying they used "craftsmen" to cut the tree stump, poured gold and silver over it, fashioned it to look like whatever God they worshipped, and kept it in their homes. No one I know nails a Christmas tree to the floor in their house and keeps it up year-round. The word Christmas means, "Christ-mas" meaning come together in mas for Christ; so how can Christmas be from Satan? Read the whole Bible...😊😊

When I was a child, I like many others was indoctrinated with the concept of Christmas. At home, at school, at church and seemingly everywhere else. When I was raising my children, I looked at it as an opportunity to teach my children the love of Christ celebrating him on his day. I remember looking forward to that day and encouraging my children to do the same. I would decorate our home accordingly with love and honor do you Yeshua. Every Christmas I was never able to really celebrate how I intended in my heart when Christmas came one year a church “Adopted” my family. They brought numerous gifts all wrapped and gave us smiles while presenting them. We gladly put them under the tree. My children are filled with anticipation of Christmas morning being blessed. Lo and behold we were stunned , shocked, confused and hurt to find that every gift was used or someone’s “hand me downs”! Neither me, or my children will ever forget that morning. As a minister of God, I am praying and fasting, looking to God for understanding, clarity and direction. I never want to hurt or offend, Yeshua our father Yahweh, in any way. This is a crucial, and issue of great magnitude. I never want to teach or preach without rightfully dividing the word of God that does teach against paganism. God clearly lets us know that he looks at the heart and its intent.

The Bible was taking about cutting down a tree and carving it into an idol. The Bible is NOT against celebrating Christmas it's against worshipping other Gods. Not only that but Christmas was celebrated at least 10 years before the first Christmas tree was put up. They decorated it with candles, not with Gold and silver. So clearly not what Jeremiah was taking. I don't celebrate Christmas myself, but it's not for religious reasons. Christmas IS and has always been a Christian holiday. All that Santa stuff is trash, but Christians gotta stop letting the world corrupt stuff and stealing it from us. Nothing wrong with celebrating Christs birth or giving out gifts like the wise men did for Jesus. Nobody thinks Jesus was born on December 25th today. But scholars at the time believed that Jesus died on the same day he was conceived which would have been march 25th. 9 months later would have been December 25th. Combining that with they saying being the winter solstice and one of the darkest day of the year, Jesus being the light of the world, and many other factors is why that day was chosen. If you study your Bible AND history, you can clearly see that Christmas is NOT a pagan holiday. Bible must not be taken out of context. You also need historical context. This is nothing but using the Bible to justify something that you already believe.

When I was a child, I like many others was indoctrinated with the concept of Christmas. At home, at school, at church and seemingly everywhere else. When I was raising my children, I looked at it as an opportunity to teach my children the love of Christ celebrating him on his day. I remember looking forward to that day and encouraging my children to do the same. I would decorate our home accordingly with love and honor do you Yeshua. Every Christmas I was never able to really celebrate how I intended in my heart when Christmas came one year a church “Adopted” my family. They brought numerous gifts all wrapped and gave us smiles while presenting them. We gladly put them under the tree. My children are filled with anticipation of Christmas morning being blessed. Lo and behold we were stunned , shocked, confused and hurt to find that every gift was used or someone’s “hand me
downs”! Neither me, or my children will ever forget that morning. As a minister of God, I am praying and fasting, looking to God for understanding, clarity and direction. I never want to hurt or offend, Yeshua our father Yahweh, in any way. This is a crucial, and issue of great magnitude. I never want to teach or preach without rightfully dividing the word of God that does teach against paganism. God clearly lets us know that he looks at the heart and its intent.
ALL THAT MATTER FOR ME IS MY SAVIOR /JESUS WAS BORN A DAY BUT I DON'T KNOW THE DATE. Right now, the most important thing for me is sanctification. I need sanctification to see him during his glorious return.

My family and I are children of GOD and we celebrate JESUS every day by prayers, bible studies, fasting, going to church praising GOD.... On Christmas we also Go to church and celebrate GOD. We buy flowers and other things to beautify our houses all the time. I dont think buying a tree and making it look nice means your worshiping an idol. We dont get down on our knees and worship the tree our focus is always JESUS and giving a gift we give gifts all the time not just on Christmas. If Your intentions is like a pagan to give gifts , have Santa, and have nothing to do with GOD that's a different story that is sinning. But On Christmas an any other day my family and I worship GOD. And If our focus is blessing GOD lifting his name up high and not bowing down to a tree or anything else that is not sinning.

Jeremiah was clearly speaking about idolatry. The Bible was taking about cutting down a tree and carving it into an idol. The Bible is NOT against celebrating Christmas it's against worshipping other Gods. Not only that but Christmas was celebrated at least 10 years before the first Christmas tree was put up. They decorated it with candles, not with Gold and silver. So clearly not what Jeremiah was taking.
I don't celebrate Christmas myself, but it's not for religious reasons. Christmas IS and has always been a Christian holiday. All that Santa stuff is trash, but Christians gotta stop letting the world corrupt stuff and stealing it from us. Nothing wrong with celebrating Christs birth or giving out gifts like the wise men did for Jesus.
Nobody thinks Jesus was born on December 25th today. But scholars at the time believed that Jesus died on the same day he was conceived which would have been march 25th. 9 months later would have been December 25th. Combining that with they saying being the winter solstice and one of the darkest day of the year, Jesus being the light of the world, and many other factors is why that day was chosen. If you study your Bible AND history, you can clearly see that Christmas is NOT a pagan holiday. Bible must not be taken out of context. You also need historical context.
