This past year i've grown from 25k monthly listeners to 550k monthly listeners and at the same exact time, my wife and i are celebrating one year married this saturday. Delegating tasks to my wife that are mentally draining to me like emails, graphic designs, contracts, merch logsistics, etc were one of the biggest reasons why I was able to put out one song every 2 weeks this year so far which also equalled my streaming success this past year. She is just as invested as I am in making this a full time living for both of us!
Just as an encouragment to anyone reading this is that if you have a spouse, partner, friend, sibling, or anyone else who truly loves and believes in your vision, with the right communication you can easily become a 2 person team rather than having everything be on your own shoulders🔥

You and your wife are major inspirations! I see you guys putting in the work, being in front of peoples faces on social media and it just equals to big results. Keep going. You guys are flippin' amazing!! Preciate you!! 🤝

This is the super raw, real conversations about trying to build something with a family that nobody is having. The stuff about your wife not taking it seriously and not getting that you do like it, but it still takes energy, so relatable.

You guys said so many things that I needed to hear. Even now that I am privileged to say that I´ve had some success in my music career, I find it really hard to chill. Like Nic said: beating the game" is the hardest part. Sometimes our worst enemy is that little voice in our heads that sometimes tells us that we are not doing enough or worse, that we are not talented, handsome, funny or anything enough. Sometimes if I am on social media watching other artists content, I tend to compare myself to them without a good reason. I just have been on emergency mode for so long. This episode was a good way to remind myself that I AM ENOUGH. I am doing what I love and thats a luxury in itself. Funny enough, the times I have been detached from the results is when I´ve had more success. Thanks for sharing gems.

I really enjoyed this interview. It is a very honest backstory of what it takes to create something. The sacrifices you made, without damaging your family relationships is really respectable. Thanks for sharing.

I loved every bit of this conversation. So much value to take from this. Knowing when enough is enough and having that balance in your life is such important factors to have, or at least to be mindful of, like what Jon said. Once you know and are mindful of what actions to take, you've got to make that decision, and that's something I'm personally working on.

Love this. also the part of getting your partner to understand your mental drain. I've worked from home since the pandemic and people still think that because I work from home, I am not exhausted from work and all is fun and games. It's still work. I am just as drained as if I had worked at the office. The job is the same. And yeah I get to log off and be home so I can still take some time to handle more chores and wtv, but some days I'm just done at the end of my shift and I am drained. And it took a while for my partner to understand this, until she was home a couple of days and saw that I was still working 100% of the time, during my break I'd do the laundry, or do some dishes quickly then get back to work, or sweep a bit, because you are home more, there is also more to do at home
It is a luxury I have, and I am grateful every day for it, but the same exhaustion happens

"Keep the main thing the main thing and then grind as hard as you can after that." Simple, solid advice. I'm in the same boat trying to build the music dream while keeping my family first and working full time. Thanks for sharing this!
