Here's an idea instead of using knitting needles - I used drinking straws and you don't have to worry about the glue sticking to it. You can just leave the paper on the straw and cut it off later after the glue is dried.
You certainly made it seem easier than any other person I have watched. I am having so much trouble with that little paper roller. Can barely do any of it. I’ll try.
Well you've just made my evening. I absolutely love watching you. Your expressions are priceless and you are just so comfortable in front of the camera. I don't think I can make a bead though, cause I got so caught up in watching you. You are a hoot! Your beads are some of the prettiest ones I've seen with the embossing powder. I think I'll watch it again so I can see how you actually made these....ok, so I'm going back to watch you again. So glad I found you!
Debbie T I was just going to say the same thing. But then I thought, lets just see what others have commented. Hopped on to your comment- see you writing my thoughts. Astra is adorable.
Beautiful! You make it look simple enough. Thanks for not editing out the misfitting spacer,. It actually helps, because if it happened to you, you know it can happen to any of us novice crafters. Btw, you are always professional, and beautiful.👏👏👍🏼
Oh, I really love how these look with the floral papers. They're so pretty, definitely look like something you could find in a boutique. You have lovely taste.
I wondered how you got the silver effect on the end of your beads? It's just amazing how pretty your beads look by using spacer beads. Those spacer beads you used, look a bit like pony beads, which have also big holes in them. Your tutorial has been very much appreciated, and I shared it on my wall because I have a feeling that other fellow paper bead crafter will also enjoy learning your technique! Thank you so much 😊❤
Hi Sylvia, I'm so pleased you loved the tutorial. It's one of my favourite activities. Most of my friends have some and it always give me much joy to see them hanging around necks. Warm regards Astar
I’m a paper bead addict of 5 months and just found you site and you’re adorable!! Live you’re sense of humor. Will definitely look for more of your tutorials.💗👍

I've been making beads for awhile but never have seen them coated with embossing powder. I will be trying it! Also, the expression on your face when the spacer didn't fit was priceless :D You are such a Gem.
I just love watching you.But could you tell me what size knitting needle you use. And the cut on your strip is it an inch wide. I just love the bead. and did you glue the bead inside the hole? thank you much
very nice...for my personal use..i skip the powder and just dip the bead in candle wax..or you could also use a bit of glitter glue or glitter nail polish...have fun!
Thank for very detailed explanation. About embossing powder I have no idea how much is 1 Oz, but 27$ is way too much. I will better go with PVA mixed with water. Everyone already has it at home, no need even to wait for delivery:)
I cant afford a heat gun. I need a tutorial that shows less expensive tools. I do love the beads. They are pretty. It was fun to watch and listen to your fabulous accent
I just stumbled upon your youtube video this evening. Your beads are gorgeous and you are so elegant. I loved your expression at 11:26 when your spacer bead didn't cooperate! Too funny! Thank you for an excellent tutorial! I'm a fan. =)
For some reason when I use card stock paper when applying the embossing powder it turns ugly and with bubbles; instead of drying clear (the bottle says is clear powder) it dries yellowish . I wonder why. I am using hampton art embossing powder but I am not sure if the problems lies in the quality of the powder
Hello, this is very interesting. I wonder whether it's the make. Mine turn very clear, but it does bubble up a wee bit. I will do a wee test and see what I can discover. Kind regards Astar
Hello Gihane, the paper I used is a lovely 'stock card paper'. You could use or recycle the coloured pages from magazines or even wall paper off-cuts. That is what my old Nan used when I was a young girl and she showed me how to first make them. Try Amazon, they have a wonderful selection and variety of printed paper. Kind regards Astar
I just love watching your videos! you're amazingly crafty, and I'm so glad you shared ...and didn't edit....as I'm sure that's going to happen often when I give this a go. :-)
Darinda Caudle hello Darinda, I rolled them in glue and then into embellishing powder finishing off with a heat gun to seal and set. Hope this helps Astar
Si reciclas papel entonces es ABSURDO que uses pistola de calor (gastas electricidad). Reciclas por moda y snobismo o reciclas por conciencia ecológica? Piensa un poco!!!!
