UPM SILab Webinar Series: IOL 101 on 30 Jan 2025, 5PM PM Manila Time - How to set up Open Health Stack components and other relevant tools
This webinar session was built upon previous introductory and deep-dive discussions of Google Health’s Open Health Stack and Android FHIR SDK. Jing Tang, Google Health OHS Software Engineer Lead, focused on setting up the various Open Health Stack components and providing resources for relevant tools to aid in the creation of next-generation healthcare mobile apps.
Jing delivered a comprehensive overview of the Open Health Stack (OHS) tools, including the Android SDK, Info Gateway, and Data Pipes. He stressed the flexibility and scalability of these tools, noting their ability to integrate with diverse data warehouses and support the SMART on FHIR scheme for patient data management. He also pointed out the developer resources available on the OHS website, such as documentation, video tutorials, and design guidelines. Jing encouraged attendees to explore the Android SDK repository, especially the code labs and demo apps, to gain a more thorough understanding of these tools. He concluded by announcing upcoming hands-on sessions covering FHIR Server setup and Android SDK code labs.
