Years ago I wanted to start boxing, but I didn't because of self-doubt. Finally, when I met Vi (through Arcane), I found my inspiration to give it a try, and today I practice regularly. That feeling of putting on the bandages and gloves is fascinating and cathartic; boxing teaches you that your main rival is yourself and your fear, and that the limit is set by you with the level of training you are willing to undertake. I can't believe that a fictional character has taken me this far. Thanks for this AMV, I watch it every time, a few minutes before entering the ring ♥👊
Guys me same! I started muai tai 2 years ago, but abondoned it after 5 month due to studiyng and stuff. But now after watching Arcane and really falling in love with Vi, I got fantastic inspiration to start it again and get dusty gloves from the closet! She's the best character ever seen!

Vi deserves to have her trauma and struggles be recognized the same way people validate the issues and pain Jinx/Powder deals with. And I'm saying this as someone who likes both and want them to be happy mind you. - As a kid Vi had to grow up fast once their parents died, looked after everyone, and would serve as Vander’s successor - Her found family was killed by her own sister even if it was never supposed to happen - She got kidnapped and even if the prisoners wouldn't mess with her, it was implied that the Enforcers had beat her up all those years at Stillwater unwarranted btw - She never stopped looking for Powder even if people thought she was talking about drugs - She finally finds her sister only to see her mental state, her being Piltover/Zaun's next feared criminal, and their relationship beginning to crumble with so many misunderstandings - Although she has Caitlyn, she probably served as one of the only links between Vi and other Piltover people from viewing her as some sort of common Zaunite rat (it also must've been like this in League when she became an Enforcer) - Also Caitlyn and Jinx aren’t exactly getting along well and I swear if one of them just said that Cait helped free Vi hence why the sisters were able to reunite, maybe Jinx wouldn't hate Cait so much and see her as the replacement. - With Vi eventually being an Enforcer, would her old friends and the people of Zaun see her as some sort of traitor? - And even if there was an AU where everything's different and the events never happened, it doesn't change the fact that Vi grew up in a poor, shunned city with very concerning environmental issues, still having to grow up fast and do stuff meant for adults despite her age, and that's gotta affect her mentally in some way. One of the reasons why I like Vi so much is because although the backstory and lore of Vi in League is entirely different from the backstory Arcane provides, it doesn't change how in both versions Vi has stayed physically, mentally, and emotionally strong and continues staying that way. This is proven by her being confident in-show and happy-so-lucky in-game when interacting with certain champions in addition to how she cares about the well-being of others. She doesn't let her pain fully corrupt her which is also shown in the lore short story when investigating the assembly Urgot had in manipulating the people of Zaun to attack and cause riots and that short story would eventually lead to the events that happened with Vi and Caitlyn in the Warrior 2020 Cinematic btw. Vi deserves to have her struggles be recognized, to be seen for good things, and to be able to find peace and happiness too. It's one of those situations where instead of choosing a side between Vi vs Jinx/Powder, I'd just want both to be happy and sort everything out. This song Whatever It Takes is made for Vi and I'm so glad that there's an AMV with that song dedicated to her because one of the few things that kept Vi going and made her put up with the abuse and corrupt bullshit justice system at Stillwater was her determination and unending hope in reuniting with her sister. After everything she's been through, Vi still genuinely wants to help and improve the corruption and issues found in Piltover and Zaun despite how unkind both cities are towards her. Much like the song name, Vi would do Whatever It Takes to make things happen.
i keep thinking about vi waking up in enforcer custody after the end of episode three. :( an angry, terrified, grieving, injured teenage girl who just witnessed the gruesome deaths of three of her family members, who was separated from the place she grew up, from everyone she knew- including the little sister she felt responsible for under such dangerous and traumatic terms, feeling desperate to go back and make things better. the enforcers said they thought she had a substance addiction because she kept asking for powder. all that after having to grow up so fast, after losing her parents, struggling to help provide for her family and witnessing enforcer's cruel and often violent subjugation. then facing more brutality and isolation as a prisoner. it's no wonder she has trouble being vulnerable and trusting that violence isn't inevitable. i really think she has ptsd/complex-ptsd like jinx probably does, even if it's not as obvious. i really admire her strength but i wish she had more chances to rest and heal. :(
@@aster7159 the inmates didn’t have much of a chance as she was the one heavily beating the crap out of them but her trauma would be from how the Enforcers walking in to beat her even when she didn’t cause any trouble. She was a teenager and that means she barely had any regular teenager moments let alone one that involves having fun with loved ones. it’s only Arcane Act 2 she got out only to be handed a lot of problems and barely knowing what happened and caused Powder turning into Jinx. Literally the first 48+ hours of her being free she has lots to deal with, Ekko assumes that she’s either on the Enforcers’ side or Silco’s side which makes no sense as she hasn’t been seen in 6-7 years with him nor Jinx nor Sevika and it makes so sense after everything Silco did to her family, and whatever chances left of her and her sister’s relationship being restored just got destroyed when looking at Act 3’s events and ending. Surface Pressure was used for a Vi FMV and it shows how much Vi is the Luisa Madrigal of Arcane and even then she hasn’t cracked nor broke down the way Luisa has. Both of them need and DESERVE peace and breaks.
I love how can see the kid in Vi, There are moments where you can the kid that was lock up so that she could make the decisions and choices she needed too.
Nobody is talking how in the first chorus (0:31) we see a slow-mo of Vi getting absolutely sucker-punched in the face. Then in the second chorus (1:27) we see a similar shot that parallels back to Vi getting punched in the face. Only this time Vi isn't the receiver of the punch, rather the enforcer. This edit is so satisfying istg

She's not so strong mentally - atleast compared to her physical strength. I think she just shrugs it off and gets on with it unlike Powder ( Jinx ) who choses to let it all out. I'd actually argue that Jinx is more resilient and I wouldn't be surprised if Vi's hit a low point come season two.

I practice martial arts Box and TKD and can i say Vi fight light a real martial artist really want to do, make distance, attack with precision, want opportunity, don't gift oportunitys, mark the rival mistake, strike fast and first, use all the ambient in your favior, don't be furious only for get up, want be faster and smart.
