The Celtics won their last title on 6/17/2008.
The Celtics won another title 16 years later on the same date: 6/17 2024.
The Boston area code is 617.
The Celtics lost 18 times this season, won by an 18-point victory in the championship game, and now the Celtics have the 18th banner. Not only that, but also all the Celtics legends who have died were sacrificed for the Celtics to win the title. Bill Russell wore jersey #6, John Havlicek wore jersey #17, Sam Jones wore jersey #24, and Bill Walton wore jersey #5. And If you pair all those numbers up, it would give you the same date that the Celtics won the title and game of the NBA finals series that they won, which is 6/17/24 and in game 5.
The NBA is rigged. It was all part of the script.@@OneWhoKN0ZE

They were never getting past the nuggets, the wolves, or the mavs. All three of those teams would have knocked the lakers out. So you can't look at the conference as a whole. With that said Lakers will be fine, does it sting? ofc, but now this offseason will def be an deciding factor in the Lakers success going forward. Starts with the coach and adding to what they already have, I dont see half of our current roster being with the team. Lets see what happens in the next couple of weeks. Y’all ready to get serious yet? Or some of y’all still crying and fighting to keep DLO? Seriously the Lakers have about 4 players on the roster who should stay. Everyone else should be available for trade or to be waived. Liking players doesn’t equal championships. You need two way players and bigs. A backcourt of DLO/Reaves who plays no defense and don’t score enough not going to get it. AD as the primary starting center not good enough for the west or to beat the Celtics. Boston and Dallas took risk and made trades they didn’t “stay pat” at the trade deadline. Other than Lebron and AD no other player was consistent and playing at championship level during the playoffs. Unless the Lakers are willing to go all in this season instead of making small changes the result will be the same next season.

Df you mean an unfortunate ending to the season? The Celtics don’t need to suck just because the Lakers suck. Some here saying the Celtics had it easy… booooo… No, they simply got consistently better and that’s it. With all the nonsense going on with the Lakers, we will be fortunate if we win another tittle in 10 years. Thats what making dumb decisions and living on past glory gets you.
Today’s Lakers as a team, a group of players, a coaching staff (hi JJ) and a front office is just not capable of producing a championship, it’s that simple. I’ve been a laker fan for decades. I will be honest and say it’s been way too hard to stay a fan for quite a while now.
