2 things here: 1) Suspiria- freaking awesome movie 2) That insight into the laptop sleeve and getting a 15" laptop through TSA- EXACTLY what I was looking for. A big reason for upgrading from my current backpack is because my work laptop just doesn't quite fit in it and is a PITA. Glad to have seen this before I pulled the trigger!
I have a blue Topo Mountain Briefcase bag that I still occasionally carry to work. After 7-8 years it's still going strong! Nice review! Good luck in the mountains...and if you hear banjos, paddle faster.
Thanks for the response! How many days do you feel like you can pack? Also considering the accessory bags but not sure how I’d use them, more just think they’re cute haha. You like them too?
I have the packing cube but typically use the Peak Designs packing cubes as they hold more and can be condensed down. I can easily pack for a week or two with 1-2 packing cubes, a small tech accessory case and a Dopp kit. For me it all depends on if I have access to do laundry where I’m going or not. Otherwise I won’t pack as much.
@@dubyahMUFC how much do the Peak Designs hold vs the Topo packing cubes? I just saw them the other day on a review page and the Peak Designs looks hard to beat for the compression.

I still love this bag. I use it anytime I travel which unfortunately hasn’t been too often. Still 100% recommend.

The PD are far better. They hold more and condense down after being packed. 100% recommend them over the Topo.

Is the topo packing cube a 1OL or 5L?
That packing cube is a 10L. They have a few new ones now as well, but I’ve not checked them out.
