It got ruined when they released zombies campaign, which gave cheaters the ability to instant-teleport to spawn, as well as an "ability" that gave your entire team wallhack for like 15 seconds any time a defender moved. They kept releasing more OP operators every few months, and now the game is unplayable and horrible and looks and playing NOTHING AT ALL like the $60 game I bought TEN YEARS AGO. In addition, they expect me to pay almost $400 (i paid full price 10 years ago) to unlock the remaining operators i didnt unlock when i stopped playing in 2018. I had almost 1,000 hours and didn't even have all the operators unlocked in 2018.
Ubisoft refused to take their Esport title serious enough to draw a line at additions, & large seasonal overhauls. It was such an exciting game to watch and be a part of in its golden era. I loved R6. I wish they couldve just drawn a line at new operators, focusing more on good map designs, and more kit choices for the already existing operators. Thatd have gone the distance instead of removing acogs, and adding a bunch of shovelware heroes with underpowered or overpowered kits.

Valorant doesnt take itself seriously as a competitive game. When making a game an Esport there are lines you have to draw at additions & changes. CS does a good job of not taking it too far with changes. It has definitely changed a ton since the golden age, but fundamentally it is the same game it was 20 years ago at the core. Overwatch & other big name esport games like R6S couldnt control themselves, they had to keep pumping out operators and unwanted changes. These things kill a game silently over time. The Overwatch that I loved & played in 2017-18, is not the Overwatch of today, or even the Overwatch of 2022. The game changed so tremendously & as a result blew out hard. I know a few lifelong CS players who've been at it for 15-20 years. This is what makes CS or any other long term esport special. Counter-Strike separated itself from the rest by being a game of Chess in a box of children's board games.

Not counting stickers or charms CS has nearly 8,000 skins if you count every finish on every knife. Its a lot but its been 10 years since "Arms Deal" update, it took a while. Also nobody expects to own EVERY skin in the game cus if you get bored of what you bought and want something new you can sell the old and busted skin to buy the new hotness. Then there is trade-up contracts. Also, another thing you can't do in Valorant but you can in CS: you can get a full loadout of cheap skins for a few dollars(except an agent, gloves and a knife) . And prime status drops you another skin (and a case you can sell) every week, forever, without having to buy a season pass multiple times a year. Honestly, I think Valve would do the community a lot of good if they introduced some truly broke-boy tier knives, agents and gloves. Like, idk, when you get your service medal you get a "promotion drop". You'd get to pick from a new finish for a default knife or default gloves finish, or a bottom-tier agent that has default voice lines. Maybe one of the 4 options could be a random free case key, sticker capsule, or graffiti box if you aren't interested in the D-tier knives/gloves/agents. Like your weekly drop but supercharged with like, once a year kinda rewards.
You guys should check the Call Of Duty Mobile skin prices. The average full draw (epic operator skin, legendary gun + some useless filler items) is ~100-150$ which drops every week. Then there are monthly mythic gun or legendary operator skin draws once a month (1 per season) which costs ~150-200$ and if you want to max upgrade those skins it's double the price. Then they also sell those cheap epic skins which very rarely are desired that costs from 20-50$ if you don't get lucky to get the item early from the crate similar to CS. Those prices are ridiculous and i understand content creators buying them to showcase them in their videos but i see whole lotta average tryhards playing with those ridiculously overpriced skins every day. To me those Valorant and CS skins seems cheap compared to CODM skins.
Used to play a lot of Val. Used to be fun. Too many agents now, smurfing and boosters are a huge issue for me. Try finding an ascendant that doesn't have multiple smurf accounts. Val will head the way of R6 the way they're running it. Back on CS last few months, having way more fun. Also skins cheaper (most), tradeable or sellable.

I spent 500 on val 0 on cs. Cs is better. I play cs source and 1.6 and had more fun with 50 year olds than i ever did with val with friends. Counter strikes always been better. Valorant had a CHANCE to become better than counter strike currently because valves terrible handling of their game. Valorant failed because riot releasing 1 map every 1 and a half year and 2 new characters per year if lucky. And the game goes in cycles

I recently shifted from valorant to cs2 and I do like the gameplay and also that you can select the maps and all. The only thing I hate is that whenever I try to warmup in deathmatch, the server is full of bots and those who are real player, they are also bot farming for weekly drops (except dust2, all other maps are full of bots. Not a single player) . Also I can't select the server. I did find that you can choose server by reducing the ping but match making takes too much time. Either I play with chinese and other player with 120 to 140 ping after waiting for 5 to 6 min or I play with 40 ping after waiting for 8 to 12 min. This did happen after I bought prime. Previously, I did used to get to queu with real people. IDK why there are so many bots
If u recently bought prime you'll get more cheater lobby had it happen to me twice However after some loss streak your trust factor increases and youll be getting into matches quickly and see less cheaters
After some time it won't happen because i have never experienced a bot farming in the 5 years i've played it i don't play as much deathmatch tho but when i finally do i never experience it.

valorant might be dying but cs2 has fell off pretty hard too. been playing csgo since august 2013 (operation bravo drop) and i aint blind to the fact counter strike sucks balls now. i dont care about the value of skins and money, i care about the gameplay. unfortunately, cs2 is just really bland and boring to play

Have we forgot that Valve removed all the fun maps and game modes on CS2? Have we forgot they also prioritise skins than proper updates? I mean look at Armory Pass... They released skins and a pass that gives more skins but then you barely have any game modes to earn the XP...
Yes, at the very least, the proper updates are good. Train update, Arms Race update, etc. Definitely wish those came more often, but the removal of maps really didn't hurt me or my contemporaries, since we only play Competitive, either between each other or in matchmaking. As for game modes? Retakes seem to be on the horizon and stuff, I'm more than willing to wait for years(since I'm already satisfied by Competitive and Wingman) if it just means they will come back, along with entirely new, CS2-exclusive gamemodes.
@@SyRose901 I used to play a lot of Competitive and Premier, however it's literally unplayable now due to the cheaters. I am not even talking about people that play suspiciously, but people that CLEARLY cheat and they are not banned. I started playing FaceIt (the gameplay experience is 10000x better), however Faceit games don't give you XP, so sometimes I play a little bit of DM and Arms Race to get some XP and I genuinely feel the need for more game modes. However my main point was that CS wants to incentivize players to play more (with the Armory Pass) but still fails to deliver more ways of playing it after more than a year of launching CS2... I just just find it inconsistent.

Actually the criticism is kinda warranted (even the part about skins in valo dropping in quality or rising in price). Though, admittedly, half of the video is focused on skins, which are rather irrelevant to the discussion about cs2 or valorant being better or worse from one another. For me, valorant is still miles better than cs2 thanks to its anti cheat alone. And there is also 128 tick and better hit registration. I do hope cs2 gets improved though, cause then valorant devs will have to put more effort into their game as well just to keep the players they have right now.
Valorant isn’t at a high point rn but it’s far from dead. Riot also gets so much international support for the game outside of just the states. The Asian and Korean market for this game is not something to brush off. It’s just illogical to jump to “the games dying!” Who cares tho play what you want to play. It’s your life.

You don't load up Valorant for Skins Mr Arrow. You load it up for the -128 Tick servers (casual AND ranked) -No Cheaters -Best we have now since CSGO got removed. Rainbow Six Siege is better than CS2 now too, less cheaters and crispy servers. CS2 Sub tick & cheaters keep me playing other things, even Bloons TD6 is better.
Played CS2 since release, haven't met a hacker in over a year. Maybe you're just coping because you're trash. Also studies proved that people cannot tell the difference between 64 and 128 tick, much less 128 tick and subtick.
CS players have to cope with the fact that as much as they hope and pray thing's will get better, CS is being forgotten by Valve and if it wasn't for the skin market they would probably abandon the game entirely. It's not Valorant or it's players fault that CS is a shell of its former self and the only place where it maintains some form of relevancy is in EU. Everywhere else the game is basically dead. Val is just better in basically every important aspect except the lack of custom content/game modes. Better matchmaking, better servers, better rank ladder, better anticheat, better/more responsive devs. It's also Ironic for CS players to complain about skins and the prices of them when it's basically their fault that the skins are so expensive. Just don't buy them if you're broke but holding that against the game is crazy.

I could go on but that's just the technical aspects of the game not the things I don't personally like, like the community. I can't think of any objective reason that CS2 is better 🤷🏽♂️

@@BC-yl3qb the main problem of cs2 is not bugs/issues - it's cheaters. You can play peacefully without additional content like christmas or halloween updates like in 2019, but you can't play with cheaters in every second match.

I recently shifted from valorant to cs2 and I do like the gameplay and also that you can select the maps and all. The only thing I hate is that whenever I try to warmup in deathmatch, the server is full of bots and those who are real player, they are also bot farming for weekly drops (except dust2, all other maps are full of bots. Not a single player) . Also I can't select the server. I did find that you can choose server by reducing the ping but match making takes too much time. Either I play with chinese and other player with 120 to 140 ping after waiting for 5 to 6 min or I play with 40 ping after waiting for 8 to 12 min. This did happen after I bought prime. Previously, I did used to get to queu with real people. IDK why there are so many bots

However after some loss streak your trust factor increases and youll be getting into matches quickly and see less cheaters
After some time it won't happen because i have never experienced a bot farming in the 5 years i've played it i don't play as much deathmatch tho but when i finally do i never experience it.

valorant might be dying but cs2 has fell off pretty hard too. been playing csgo since august 2013 (operation bravo drop) and i aint blind to the fact counter strike sucks balls now.

Valorant has trash aiming input. The microaiming is much slower than in cs2, so you will never be able to feel your sensitivity the same way cs2 gives
Sounds like a massive skill issue and playing the same sens isn’t gonna be the same because the cm/360 is not the same despite what the typical sens converter website says. And you actually can get it 1 to 1 just requires knowledge of cm/360 on mouse sensitivity website.

Have we forgot that Valve removed all the fun maps and game modes on CS2? Have we forgot they also prioritise skins than proper updates? I mean look at Armory Pass... They released skins and a pass that gives more skins but then you barely have any game modes to earn the XP...
Yes, at the very least, the proper updates are good. Train update, Arms Race update, etc. Definitely wish those came more often, but the removal of maps really didn't hurt me or my contemporaries, since we only play Competitive, either between each other or in matchmaking.
As for game modes? Retakes seem to be on the horizon and stuff, I'm more than willing to wait for years(since I'm already satisfied by Competitive and Wingman) if it just means they will come back, along with entirely new, CS2-exclusive gamemodes.
@@SyRose901 I used to play a lot of Competitive and Premier, however it's literally unplayable now due to the cheaters. I am not even talking about people that play suspiciously, but people that CLEARLY cheat and they are not banned. I started playing FaceIt (the gameplay experience is 10000x better), however Faceit games don't give you XP, so sometimes I play a little bit of DM and Arms Race to get some XP and I genuinely feel the need for more game modes. However my main point was that CS wants to incentivize players to play more (with the Armory Pass) but still fails to deliver more ways of playing it after more than a year of launching CS2... I just just find it inconsistent.

At least Valve isnt selling you the same game every 1/4 annual period with a "new operator and battle pass" thatll be inevitably worth nothing after a few hours of gameplay to the user. At least when you quit CS you can sell your skin inventory & buy another game or two. Im all for holding Valve accountable where they mess up or fall short on development, but its been the same game for 20 years nearly, with mostly positive upgrades & a long standing Esport pedigree. That has to count for something.

And my point is its massive cope to pretend games modes and maps that were part of the base game are gone. Yet we've got a new case and all of the armory stuff first. Seems like it's their priority to me. Actually the criticism is kinda warranted (even the part about skins in valo dropping in quality or rising in price). Though, admittedly, half of the video is focused on skins, which are rather irrelevant to the discussion about cs2 or valorant being better or worse from one another.
For me, valorant is still miles better than cs2 thanks to its anti cheat alone. And there is also 128 tick and better hit registration.
I do hope cs2 gets improved though, cause then valorant devs will have to put more effort into their game as well just to keep the players they have right now.

Valorant isn’t at a high point rn but it’s far from dead. Riot also gets so much international support for the game outside of just the states. The Asian and Korean market for this game is not something to brush off. It’s just illogical to jump to “the games dying!”

CS players have to cope with the fact that as much as they hope and pray thing's will get better, CS is being forgotten by Valve and if it wasn't for the skin market they would probably abandon the game entirely. It's not Valorant or it's players fault that CS is a shell of its former self and the only place where it maintains some form of relevancy is in EU. Everywhere else the game is basically dead. Val is just better in basically every important aspect except the lack of custom content/game modes. Better matchmaking, better servers, better rank ladder, better anticheat, better/more responsive devs. It's also Ironic for CS players to complain about skins and the prices of them when it's basically their fault that the skins are so expensive. Just don't buy them if you're broke but holding that against the game is crazy.

CS is full of bots, hackers, bullets hit players like 2 seconds later after they're behind cover, matchmaking is terrible you basically HAVE to pay for Faceit to get good matches. The game is terribly optimized compared to csgo. Y'all have 64 tick servers vs Val 120. I could go on but that's just the technical aspects of the game not the things I don't personally like, like the community. I can't think of any objective reason that CS2 is better 🤷🏽♂️
