No, he mentally was a great fighter that could put on great performances, but physically he cheated, greatness doesn't need to cheat, its the equivalent of using a car in a running race. I respect him a lot for being open about it, I don't think people can truly understand how hard that must be, that's clear by the fact that it's rare to see a fighter, that so clearly cheated, talk about it, it is career suicide. The fighting landscape was shifting towards strikers in the lower weight classes, as everyone's grappling was already top notch. So I don't really blame him for following Duane. The Ludwig system was far better than the instruction that other thai guy team alpha male had (infamous for ruining the suspense of Uriahs loss in the wec).
Dominic Cruz is the GOAT bantamweight. If you look at his WEC and his UFC accomplishments together, it's not even close. Just the injuries kept him from being more active and racking up defenses.
