    And I’m pretty sure that sponges found in ocean monuments are sea sponges rather than kitchen sponges. Kitchen sponges are made of polyurethane, which is a synthetic polymer. I’m pretty sure that that civilization that built ocean monuments didn’t know synthetic polymers, otherwise we could probably find plenty of plastic items everywhere around.

    for me the netherite is an alloy composed of 50% gold and platinum, then plated with diamond and a layer of tungsten, which prevents the alloy from melting.the redstone could be a uranium carbonate with a lead part which blocks radioactivity. Or they are composed of copper, which would explain the conductivity.
    I agree that prismarine is some sort of acquamarine and the chorus is the dragon-fruit. Maybe the sponge is a sort of organic/not organic hybrid.

    fun fact blue was more expensive than gold because you could only make it out of lapis lizuli a very rare rock until a painter figured out that you can make blue by mixing pot shavings with another substance and thats how blue was made publicly avalible

    diamonds in minecraft also seem to have some mystical properties. they're much more durable than in real life and are also used to make the Enchantment Table. they're also not pure diamonds, as their blue hue implies boron replacing some carbon atoms in their makeup.

    Nether wart could be cordyceps because they grow from living creatures by infecting them then growing like how they can only grow on soul sand and they require a decent amount of heat to grow

    Prismarine as Aquamarine kind of makes sense
    The only places you can find Prismarine are ocean Monuments and Ruins
    And because it is quite rare (Unless you have a Guardian Farm) Aquamarine to me is the most likely candidate to

    Realistically diamond would be a horrible thing to build armor with, so is gold. And from what I’ve seen people think netherite is a gold alloy with like platinum or tungsten, and if that’s true then it would realistically make horrible armor

    redstone is copper(i) oxide or better known as cuprite, redstone was originally called cuprite and was based off of it, copper is conductive and copper(i) oxide is a red powder.

    Ok this is a little bit of a correction but mycelium is the fungus mushrooms are just its reproductive fruits and/or flowers and the mushroom cant exisist without the mycelium but the mycelium can exist without the mushrooms
