You can always thinly wrap the wire first with the same color of the feathers. I use this same method for making feathers. Like how thin and feather-like they are when completed. Love your tutorials!!

Thanks for sharing. You mentioned using an ironing pad for felting. I also purchased an ironing pad for felting, it was stiff and dense. I then purchased a typewriter pad. It works great for me it is not as stiff or dense as the ironing pad.
