I'm in the U.K. and we are going into autumn now. I like it with the cooler, crisp mornings and the leaves on the trees turning brown, gold and red. Wearing jumpers, melting marshmallows on fires, drinking hot chocolates ❤

When my nephew was in speech therapy for his “r”s (he’s 69 years old now!) we picked him up and asked him to say “rabbit”. He quickly said, “bunny!” I’ll never forget, even though I’m 86 myself! Enjoy your family activities! I live in the state of Washington. Have been to Sydney and north into PNG, but not Perth.
So astute, Otto! He said the "L" sound should be included. The "R" & "L" are very often interchanged in certain languages. Also, the "R" not coming without more proding probably has a bit to do with the Australian accents.
I was in speech therapy until 6th grade (year 7) and now in middle of October im gonna be getting tested for selective mutism and will have to go in speech again and im a freshman in highschool

I was very surprised that my little brother has had the R down from the very beginning. He's got a funny accent due to both his parents having different accents though. Little sister's speech is pretty mushy though, but she's only almost two right now.
Good Idea to Laminate everything. For the book you could use Key rings or there are (at least in Europe) rings to clip open.
I work in a Home for children with special needs and we use them a lot.
When we Run Out of those we use Strings and sew (?) them together 😅
❤Sylvie is so adventurous, she seems to be able to find things to do on her own ! So great to see the children in play ! They are all growing up,so fast !

Interesting how the Australian accent leaves the ending and middle Rs off many words (pronouncing them as "ah" instead) yet the kids need to work on pronouncing Rs at the start of words. Different accents within the same language are very interesting.

It's funny hearing you guys says about the kids changing the letters cause I never paied attention to that in the videos, I think being foreigner I just assumed all the kids talked like that (I'll try to hear the differences) 😂

Fun fact for Otto, the last Kmart in the United States just closed. It was in Long Island, which is part of the burrough Queens, in NYC.

Long Island is not part Queens lol part of the island technically is in Queens and Brooklyn, but the part we refer to as Long Island is its own counties (Nassau and Suffolk - Suffolk is where the last Kmart was an definitely not queens haha. It's like a square is a rectangle. So you could say queens is a part of long Island geographically but long Island is not part of queens)

Rather cloudy this morning in Milton, Washington USA, the temperature is 58° Celsius. 9am on Friday, September 27th. I went to speech therapy as a child with my younger siblings. I remember Sister Suzie sat on a thistle. She sells seashells by the seashore. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, where are the pickled peppers Peter Piper picked? 😎💖 Our speech therapist had hundreds of these. This was nearly 55 years ago. 😁😎💖
So glad those rhymes were put to good use, I remember Cindy reading them on the Brady Bunch and getting teased by a bully for it.

My son is 7 and struggles with certain sounds, we've recently started speech therapy and iys amazing how quickly he picks up how to say things properly.
I dont know if Eeboo puzzles are a thing in Australia but their estetic would totally match yours.
Some sounds can be a bit tricky. My nephew had a severe speech delay and still catches himself with the combined "th" sound coming out as the "b" sound. Usually when he is just casually chatting with family rather than thinking about his sounds.
You can laminate the sheets of the book back to back and then use a hole punch to make holes and put it in a binder or you can use string through the holes or something similar ❤

You can just put Rosie’s Rainy Days into plastic sleeves and tie them with some ❤RRR.ED ❤RRR..IBBON. 😅You could put all the R things in a RED❤ Ring bindeR folder using the sleeves as pockets. ❤
Love the water bottles. Kmart stuff is such good value isn’t it? The quality of the kitchen and storage is equal to the expensive brand names, too.

Here in Canada you can buy plastic « pockets » with three holes down the side that you can put a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper inside. Then you can easily put them in a three ring binder.
