Tonight we’re going hard
Just like the world is ours
We’re tearing it apart
You know we’re superstars

We’re dancing like we’re dumb
Our bodies go numb
We’ll be forever young
You know we’re superstars
We are who we are

I was born in 89 and I really like new pop music, but I had never thought about this. Kesha always said that she just wanted to make music to play at parties and everyone can have a good time and there's no deeper meaning besides that. Gen Z has had all this weight of the future just dropped on them and I have so much respect for how well all of you have been managing it, but sometimes it seems like you never got the chance to just be kids and that sucks.

Hahah so funny. Yep, many people usually say life and things were much simpler when they were young. Check out any older music on RUclips and read the comments. No matter the era people say, "I miss the old days when things were much simpler and the music was good not the crap that's popular today." That's life, lol. Those of your grandparents time said the same thing I would guess, as did people of your parents' age I'm sure, and in the future as will those of your kids and your grandkids. We sometimes think back at our youth with nostalgia and say how great things were, often we even refer to that time as, 'the good old days'. Life seemed simpler, easier and the music better. Although some things may change others stay the same.
Time waits for no one.
I read a study summary recently indicating we _all_ go through this...that, regardless of the era, the music that was playing at high school age is what affects us the most...and is the root of one's personal nostalgia -- something related to brain config. Anyway...if we all go through this, why is that? Is there an underlying bridge to this cycle? (shrugs, I'm just thinking) Hope all's well :) cheers.
@@trollme.trollmehard.9524 oh yess that's actually very true, music is a reminder, like a souvenir. im happy people dont miss those years bc i seriously yearn for them and it makes me depressed so i dont want that for other people, BUT i dont understand how my friends/family DONT miss those years at least a little
I miss being this carefree...
I'm 31 and feel actually the same
I could relate, me being 33 now, when this song came out I just turned 21, and man I tell you the club scene at this time was monumental, the pop music from 2009 - 2013 was unmatched you had Kesha, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Drake and Nicki all making bangers, I'm so glad I got to enjoy my early 20's in that era.
I feel like the early 2010's music was just like all : We party and get drunk a lot, and that...is my memories of the early 2010's, so I say it was an accurate view of millenial culture at the time lol
Dude, you tell it as if we were brainless streetkids
@@AleXander-uc7lo Nah, more like going to clubs and meeting people while also working. I live in Korea, so it's a pretty non-street vibe lol.
100% lol
Nostalgia hitting HARD 😭 best of 2010’s era
I don't give a fuck for what people say about this music, i still love this music since 2010
StarKawaii I will listen to 2010s music and dont give a crap
Who still came back to this hit in 2020 ?🔥
Oof meeeeeee👌👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Meh. Well actually, Its my first time ever hearing this song now its filled with weird songs and this one was actually good to listen to
Yup
me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You 2
I'm listening to it during quarantine and guess who's having major nostalgic attacks 🙃
Nostalgia ain’t an attack it’s like a hug. Reminding us of the good times in the past, can trick us a lot though.
Don't die it will be listed as a covid death
This song has been stuck in my head for days, and for good reason. "We R Who We R" is a total anthem that makes me want to dance and celebrate the things that make me different. It's a reminder that being yourself is the most important thing in the world, and we should all be proud of who we are. I'll never forget the first time I heard this song, and I'm so grateful for the message it sends.
💜🎉💜🎉

Then why are you here? I'm not trying to be rude. I understand you don't like her, but really... She means everything to me.
I think it’s safe to say that the 2010s dance scene stands out on its own, just like the naughties, nineties, eighties etc.
Lead by Kesha, David Guetta, Avicii (god rest his soul), LMFAO (remember those guys??), list goes on…so many legends back then
LMFAO were terrible but I agree with the rest
@@sizzlxgrizzlix31 LMFAO were the peak house scene at the time idk what you’re talking about. They sound terrible when you’re sober…
@@Dragoneer I only liked Party Rock Anthem. The rest of their music just doesn't sound appealing to my ears.
@@sizzlxgrizzlix31 Agreed, they peaked with Party Rock but I still feel champagne showers and s*xy and I know it were equally as popular back then. There are people who hated Ke$ha and Guetta back then as well. EDM is so diverse every can pick their flavor. That’s what makes it beautiful. Each to their own…
No dance scene will reach that of the 70s 80s or 90s 😉
Not even close!
The creativity of those times will never be repeated!
I miss those old days, but they're never coming back
Ke$ha is a legend
ikr
BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA YOU'S FUNNY
