I've grown up in California so there's a lot of Japanese people in the bay and so cal and even some here in central California. Just seeing the little bit of Japanese culture in California has made me always want to visit Japan. It's so cool how both countries love each others culture. Japan might be one of my favorite nations outside America. I hope we always remain close allies and never go back to WW2 and fighting each other

Moe used the word 「お婆さん」 (obaasan). It's considered a polite word in Japanese to refer to an elderly woman, especially in the third person, since she was talking about her, not to her, in the video. If she wanted to be disrespectful, she would say "baasan" or even "baba," which is considered a curse, but ofc she didn't. I'm quite sure when she was at the massage parlor, she addressed the masseuse by her name plus "-san", if the masseuse happened to introduce herself to her. That's the etiquette in Japan. In the video, she even added "-san" when she mentioned "massage parlor", saying マッサージ屋さん (massaajiya-san/massage parlor-san) as an honorific.

This reminded me of the first time Sutan was left alone with her dad. I think it was on Moe's birthday. She was only 2 years old and started crying at the end of the day, and as Moe came home she went and gave her mom a hug. Time flies so fast☺

I guess there is not much in the world that touches the heart of a hardworking man as much as genuine appreciation. It must have meant a lot to him, bonding father and daughter together a lot.
