Cool!! @3:35 there was a Phillips CDi. That thing is my dream console. I love that old school FMV gaming. I wish Phillips would release a mini version of that console.
TORG was my first ever gaming convention last year and it's amazing to see it grow like it has! Great event overall and looking forward to next year! Thanks for giving me some of your time to chat briefly as well! While my step-son and I had a great time game hunting, it was the people we both met that left the lasting impression.
TORG was awesome. I had a great time, got some great pickups for my collection and it was a pleasure chatting with you again. I easily recommend this convention for those interested. Take care!
Can't believe how big the Columbus Cons have grown in the last ten years, Columbus is a great place for retro collectors. Even Sunday was a good day still alot of goodies to pick from. Nice talking to you Sunday keep Homebrews coming 😊
Got to see you there John. I was the guy who stopped by for just a bit on Sunday talking about how you were the one who introduced me to this event along with if you get that a lot regarding John Hancock's signature in the Constitution. Thanks again for showing me TORG Gaming Expo! It was really awesome and my friends said it was one of the better conventions they went to. Certainly would go again!
Hey John, I wish that I had been able to attend this year's TORG Gaming Expo. Last year when I attended it was a blast and from your video, this year looked even bigger. Glad to have met you last year. The video game museum looked awesome even though some systems were missing.
Sadly I was not a kid at the time the nes came out but I have been slowly building up a few games for the console. I am only focusing on the heavy hitters, AAA games on NES.
Hey John! Sorry that I wasn’t able to visit with you on Saturday but it was good to see you anyway man! It was such a pleasure to meet you in person in the Columbus convention earlier in the year. 😊👍 thanks for sharing about you and your wife’s situation in the recent video as well. I had no idea that you were all going through such an ordeal and it’s awesome to hear that your wife is doing much better!
Looks like a great show set-up, and those museum displays were nice. Was the wrestling match gaming themed, looked a bit like Little Mac vs a Mortal Kombat ninja to me!
TORG is definitely on my to-do list, along with PRGE, Mo-Con, and Midwest. Only show I ever get to is Classic Game Fest in Austin because it's only 30 minutes from my house. Would love to have you down here for CGF one of these years, Mr. Hancock! NES is still my most favorite console of all time, been playing and collecting for it for more than 35 years now. I do NES homebrewing as a hobby. I'm actually a full-time game dev, funny enough I'm a Senior UI Artist/Designer for Incredible Technologies, makers of Time Killers, no less, so thanks for the shoutout! 😂 (Time Killers was way before my time with the company unfortunately...)
Loved getting to talk to you there about the Atari VCS, Polymega, and Amico! Also I was happy to pick up some of the games you were selling at your table! Very awesome conversation and looking forward to you coming back!
Hey John absolutely great to meet you! I was in the blue and white puma hat geeking meeting you. I was with Rockem Sockem Retro out of Bowling Green Ohio. Kayla and John brought all the arcades down. Super stoked you liked them! You truly make the gaming world an amazing place ❤❤❤
I was there on Saturday but missed so much due to arriving at around 230pm and then the event closing at 5. We didn’t get to cover the whole thing. And wow, I have never seen more CIB retro games in one place at one time!! Overwhelming sensory overload! Lol
And this is why I saw no atari 8bit games!!! Those pre-show sales!!! 😀 Going to have to grab a table just to get in on the action. Probably cheaper than some of the VIP passes. Great haul good seeing you in OH. Sorry I ran out of money before coming back to your table...
@@gamevhsheroband7516 I was just noticing that vending at the show may be a way to get in on some pre-sales and would not cost much more than the VIP pass. Sorry it was to complicated for you to follow.
That SEGA sign is gorgeous! Also amazing picks, John! Specially the Atari Age set. Man every time I see an Atari XE (my first system) fills me with nostalgia and remorse of not having dedicate it more time at that age.
Man I'll love to go some day to a convention. Riggs was at one here in NY that I didn't knew it existed! I'll be looking forward to it next year. An X-Eye! That's even harder to find in box than a Sega CDZ, the small CD and Genesis combo. Atari Age magazines? I don't think I ever saw those great acquisitions. Thanks for sharing your adventures with those of us that can't go. Cool video John!👉🙂👈
Great recap! Waffle House is Amazing!! Hahah. In all seriousness it was great catching up and a great end to convention season. Those Sega Fibers are custom built but sure are beautiful!
It was fun and thanks for taking care of me. I can’t believe I didn’t see the wresting match
P.O.W nes was one of my favorite
Looks like my kind of expo!
You would loooove it
You definitely would’ve had a blast there Jon! I hope you are doing well man.
Thanks for coming to TORG again John. Loved talking to you and look forward to seeing you next year.
This was a nice review.
7:23 Neato! That's my signature (with the little turtle doodle underneath)! Glad you enjoyed the show and the game!

Hey! It was nice to see you there! It was a blast! Hopefully I can see you at another one again.

I believe you bought the mortal kombat Controller off of us! Thanks again!
Good video! Looks like a great show! Nice! Atari Age pickup, really nice!

@@johnhancockretro Will you be attending next year as well?
I’ve haven’t attended a show outside of PRGE. I’ve been seeing the FB posts on TORG for a couple of years. Some day! Thanks for the coverage, John.
I enjoyed the show as well! Thanks for sharing the video and your thoughts on TORG.
Sadly I was not a kid at the time the nes came out but I have been slowly building up a few games for the console. I am only focusing on the heavy hitters, AAA games on NES.

It was good to talk to you and Carl on Sunday. Next year I will buy you some Skyline Chili.
Looks like a great event. Thanks for the video, John.
This was my first convention and def won't be my last. Was really awesome to meet you :D
Was a ton of fun to hang out!

The Atari Age mags complete? If you don't count the 2 early paper editions that are very hard to find.
John Hancock back again

I presume this expo was done “the Wright way”.

dude why are you so negative lol. VIP was $60 lmao just don't go if you're gonna complain about so much 😂

0:12 about the size of my kitchen?
Going to TORG here in a couple months... is this a good place to buy homebrews?
Madden
It would be better if it was Torgue from Borderlands. Lol
