- “I'm very sentimental... as you can tell,” says Lucy Boynton. The Bohemian Rhapsody star carries not one but two notebooks in her “Mary Poppins bag”, one of which is stuffed with script pages and notes from loved ones she’s saved. “Because I travel so much I like to have little personal things from family, or like, memories,” she explains in episode 55 of British Vogue’s In The Bag series. There’s plenty of other reading material too: copies of Oliver Sacks’s The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat and Shirley Jackson’s Come Along With Me jostle for space with Lucy’s CBD, her Warby Parker glasses, her favourite Chloé perfume, and an iPod. “Because apparently I’m the last person still using an iPod - and a Hotmail account.” Watch the video to see all of the actor’s everyday essentials.

They’re not stranded in the middle of the desert or the Himalayas, they can always buy water or some other beverage. It’s not an essential irreplaceable personal item.

I still use an iPod too (no matter how hard Apple tries to push it to the side and pretends it doesn't exist anymore), although my current one is the latest version) The one I used before I bought in 2015 and it lived an eternity by Apple standards - I replaced it only this April. But they don't make them like that anymore, sadly.

To Lucy Boynton: Did you know that John Hutchinson performed with David Bowie(real name is David Robert Jones) in three incarnations in the band Buzz 1966, the group Feathers 1968-1969, as a duo with David as Bowie and Hutch on and also played on the original version of Space Oddity(totally different than the later more recognizable version), and also with Bowie on the last leg of the Ziggy Stardust tour in 1973.
