And Gaethje’s excuse was that he needs at least 8-10 weeks ahead of preparation and UFC258 is within 6-5 days from now. It had to be either one of them that said no. Either way, aside from Chandler, if Oliveira or Gaethje wants a title fight, they need to clash.. Oliveira v. Gaethje has to happen next if either one of them wants a title shot. Both of them, are coming off with a win over defeated Ferguson. Chandler takes on the winner of Gaethje v. Oliveira. And with Conor? Well he’s coming off with a loss against Poirier. Before he can prepare himself with a trilogy against Poirier, FIRST, THE DUDE NEEDS TO HEAL! HE NEEDS TO REST THAT SWOLLEN FOOTBALL LEG. THAT TWO WEEKS OF SWOLLEN BALLON LEG DOES NOT LOOK TOO GOOD. Then, after 6 months (which is half a year) of healing and resting, he should then first get comfortable in the octagon again with fighters like Dan hooker (who’s coming off w a loss against Poirier) Paul felder (who’s coming off a loss against Dos Anjos) a trilogy w Díaz (who hasn’t fought in a year and is coming off w a loss against Masvidal) would be highly interesting to see them two go at it for a third and final time. And since they’re both have been inactive for a year, and their last prior fight was at welterweight, I think that fight makes total sense, and should be considered a fight to make. Then of course, you have but not least, Tony Ferguson, who’s coming off w losses.. and Tony’s been itching to get his hands on McNuggets Monday.. it’s only a matter of time before both of them meet and clash.. Either way, we’re in for an interesting year to see these hungry lions go at it for the relinquished lightweight title belt.. and to see who’s next to becoming one of the best in lightweight after Khabib Nurmagomedov

@@FreefallSC In my opinion the downfall in boxing started when the best stopped fighting the best. That was always what was great about mma but now we are seeing more and more top guys wanting easier more profitable fights. If the number 1 guy in the world passes up a title fight to fight the number 6 guy or a guy who hasn’t been relevant in the division since 2013 that’s bad for the sport. Either way, we’re in for an interesting year to see these hungry lions go at it for the relinquished lightweight title belt.. and to see who’s next to becoming one of the best in lightweight after Khabib Nurmagomedov
how could anybody not be a fan, good things happen to good people!
Chandler is like the ultimate American role model. What a guy!
Lol
Michael “Anytime anywhere” Chandler
I'm not here for a long time, I'm here for a good time! - Michael Chandler
Chandler knocked out a beast in Hooker! That was unbelievable, awesome, in the first round. And now he’s calling out more killers! My type of champion!
The opposite of Ben Askren. This guy is going to the top.
Love your work helwani
Justin has already said he won't take a fight without a full camp. So expect the fight sometime in April/May.
Yea right before he took a short notice fight with tony Ferguson
@@austinp8942 for a title fight. This won't be for the belt.
12 week camp at least for a non title fight? Lmao get a grip
@@Carlito_Brigante He literally said that his fight camps are 10 to 12 weeks . Its out there on the internet, just go do your research And you won't end up looking foolish on the internet
I'm not ashamed to admit I'm fully in the Chandler train! What a guy.
Can't help but love and respect this man! May not be a champion yet in the UFC but has all the attributes of a great champion. And would be an amazing ambassador of the sport... Michael 'Iron Flair' Chandler
Ive been talking about Chandler vs Gaethje since Michael signed with the ufc. Former BELLATOR champ vs Former WSOF champ. Makes sense man. And I got chandler on that. Especially if he’s the underdog. I wouldn’t be surprised if chandler is the favorite.
Happy to see the platform back at it's original settings. Giving us insite into fighter mindsets and allowing us to hear their voices. Nothing beats this setting for us mma fans.
Chandler is truly a breath of fresh air for the lightweight division.
I’m thinking Hooker VS Ferguson would be a good one
Nah Conor vs Ferguson needs to happen
TONY VS CONOR
Tony diaz . But yes to all
SERIOUS QUESTION IS DUDE ROIDED OR JUST CUT LIKE A BRICK ? DUDE IS NATURAL THATS COOL !
I always love to listen this man I don't know anyone who speaks better than Chandler, he's an excellent speaker and even spokesman. I wish that I could talk like him
It was a testament to who the fook is that guy
Well, nowadays you can be a husband who got a husband.
"Conor went from asking who da fook is dat guy, to being who da fook."
Chandler after this you have my respect, you and Gaethje would be insane fight
He will destroy Justin
@@BIGBOYREDGIE There is only one way to find out, patient Gaethje is nightmare for everyone in top 5
Chandler vs Gaethje is exactly what I wanted to hear
Factz
Love Mike Chandlers interviews!
Informative, transparent & 💪🏽. Loved it all!
Chandler is gonna win UFC gold!
I'll be interested to see which of these three interviews get the most views
I'll tell you for free
1.) Poirier
2.) Chandler
3.) Oliveira
I would bet $1000 dollars on this
@@nickkelly3199 definitely
@Bag Stallion thanks it took a lot of courage
@@nickkelly3199 this one isn’t trending too good
To be honest he needs 1 more fight
Like justin.
He beat the number 5 has to win 1 more and if he does give him a title fight
Anderson Silva’s first fight was against Chris Leben. He fought for the belt in his second fight.
@@antw9770 Leben would have been up near the top of a UFC ranking if they existed at that time and there were far fewer fighters in the divisions as well. Still Chandler does need one more bc Charlie Olives should be fighting for the title.
@@FreefallSC if Dustin wants to fight Olivera then that should be the fight. But if they do Dustin vs Conor 3 or Dustin vs Nate then there is no way that should be for the belt. If Dustin wants to go take big money fights then go make money but leave the belt for the guys who are fighting other top guys. Nate Diaz hasn’t been a legit 155 contender since 2013.
@@antw9770 if Dustin wants a title fight it needs to be Oliviera, if not then I tend to agree. Make it Oliviera vs Chandler for the belt and Dustin can beat up Nate or fight Conor again and then fight the winner for the belt if he wins.
Same thing I said about Cormier trying to defend the belt against Brock instead of Stipe and Bisping avoiding the entire middleweight top 5 to defend against 45 year old Dan Henderson when he was champ. That’s the stuff that destroyed boxing now it’s coming to mma.
Respect to micheal yea, he wants all the smoke, shouldn’t be surprising, but great fight to make. Justin vs Michael
Michael Johnson 😂

More I hear Chandler the more i like him, willing to fight anybody, not sitting back looking for a paycheck etc, fight to the top, great interview and hes willing to go any time.
I Like how the new generation are more respectful and humble which is very good.
Michael Chandler would be a G if he stepped up and saved the card by fighting Gaethje at 258
I hope iron mike ko’s justin on his way to the title
me too !!
It’s very possible
Hopefully. Real bad too.
Why?
Hahahaha why you guys dont like gaethje he is a very nice guys and he will stop chandler till he is unconcious
Let’s do Chandler-Justin , Fight Night Main Event in May on ESPN
Great call out.
I'm really liking Chandlers attitude.
Breath of fresh air even his positiveness towards Conor after he lost.
Most if not 95% of the community shat all over him.
I have warmed up to him! Very well spoken, articulate and respectful! Very good addition to the lightweight!!!
Unpopular opinion: chandler smokes dustin...an exceptional wrestler with power in his hands is porier's kryptonite
dustin vs charlie olives for the belt
chandler vs gaethje for the next numba juan contender
i like mike and hoped he would do well crossing over to the ufc. hes so well spoken, like ariel will ask a question and mike will reply and answer it (unlike other fighters) he branches onto other relevant topics with ease. could see him stealing my job at the desk in the future. watch it boy
😭😭😭 quit it
You've earned it , Porier knows you will Knock him out also , i suspect anyway , he saw what happened to Hooker , Gathje is a tougher fight for Chandler than Porier anyway , Porier was on the brink of quitting against Gathje , i gotta give it to him though for finding it within himself to get the finish .
Michael ..I've watched you from way back when .. always left it all in the octogon and always respectful and always confident in a humble and honest way ..good luck in your future!
Chandler vs Gaethje is an explosive fkn fight. Can't wait.
It looks like he’s referring to gaethje since he said the last time that he wants to have a full training camp
It was Charles
In DP's defense...it will be a bigger draw if he does "earn it" by fighting/beating Justin
I haven’t been the best UFC fan for a long time, but now I’m here, and this dude is by far my favorite fighter currently.
That was a GREAT interview with Poirier yesterday Ariel. A fantastic glimpse under the sea of his soul.
