Pursuit + Sucker Punch is the definition of "You were outplayed". Both moves have a counter that is dependent on the enemy's awareness and patience, so if you lose to an Absol with this moveset, *you* are at fault.
I have to say I LOVE the overlay commentary! I understand that this is a bit more effort intensive, but as someone who never played Absol, this was very informative and by the end I understood the slight mistakes you pointed out from intuition Great Video, Cris
Main Absol here! It's just an extremely fun build. When crits connect it's so satisfying to see overabused mons explode. But that's of course *WHEN* crits connect; as you said, it's very RNG-based. It can be frustrating if crits don't come in when they need to - Ray is quite enough of a coin flip already, there is no need to add more aleatory variables in.
Sick, Cris it's just addicting seeing attackers getting one shot, not even intellion can escape it. The combo with shedinja doll is just what it needed. Aaah played many matches after you uploaded the video. 🙌🙌
Yesterday I played a nasty comp with my friends, I picked pursuit absol and he picked Sableye with shadow sneak and confuse ray, his boosted auto turned the enemy's backs towards me and I hit them guaranteeing at least one hit, then confuse ray would cause them to attack me so my sucker punch always hit the stunt, and then another pursuit auto would either confirm a ko or a force unite, we legit team wiped at ray using this combo
I just came from my 18 KO Buzzwole game to see this monstrosity. But yes, I do try it this way every time. It works tbh and I used to slay Zacians with this knowledge when she was broken af. But tbf, Absol is not good in the current meta and I don't think it will receive any buffs anytime soon.
I see. You dash forward with pursuit then sucker punch into a cooled down pursuit. I was wondering why you didnt simply sucker punch then pursuit, but you get an extra attack in with the initial pursuit. Also it engages the enemy to attack you. Nice 👍
I really like Absol since he's my main, I don't have a ribbon since just mained him a month ago. Ive been using shedinja doll and sometimes eject button for a while. And he is GOOD!
I've been playing this set but I never use this mechanic. I did it once accidentally but never knew how I did it. About to be even more of a monster on absol
Not worth sacrificing Sucker Punch imo. The damage boost is really nice and you still oneshot squishies without having to worry about you positioning behind them, but Sucker Punch’s defensive ability and combo potential with Pursuit is just better I play Night Slash + Psycho Cut
Sucker punch will only have the use of stunning then the reason it's a combo is because pursuit has to hit behind the enemie night slash can hit wherever
The worst is when your pursuit dont get hit due to stun and there is no supporter in your team. You should pirsuit when enemy is running away and when it is coming close , do pursuit then sucker then pursuit

as an ex Absol main (500+ games) I can confidently say - anything Absol can do, Zoroark does better

This is something I want to work SO much but pursuit just doesn’t activate sometimes

I play use nearly same build but instead of Atk weight i use Float stone with Razor and Scope.

10:24 you actually got hit before you used your suckerpunch, so thats why it didn't work.
