Great to know. This is something I see so many people asking how to and the first was the cage edit but wasn’t a fan. The smash is a great way to do it.

Are you using a 3dconexxion mouse to move that around like that? Seems nice and fluid. I bought one but couldnt get the hang of it for some reason.

Why is it that when I try to do the same thing with a similar shape (but a little more curved), my poly surface I’m trying to flow onto my surface ends up on the opposite side and at a different orientation? I use smash and tried messing with the directions in every direction.

I'm a newbie with this software and wanted to request for some help with this function?
The objects I'm trying to flow are asymmetrical. The surface I want them to flow along was cut out from another surface. If I try and use either 'flowalongsrf' or 'rebuild' command the objects flow along or rebuild to the previous surface it was cut from.
How can I solve this problem?

:Thanks for the prompt reply. I managed to solve the issue through painful trial and error. I must say your videos are a goldmine, even though I've never designed jewelery. Will check out the forum too.

Anyone know of a way to to the revers process of this? Using grasshopper or just a command in Rhino
I have a skewed model I need to flatten, but keep the 3D geometry.

The same thing works in reverse, making a curved base srf and flowing to a flat target srf. I'd have to see a picture to help any more than that (which you can post in the discord: discord.gg/WtmtUrSdZs )

@@EricM81 I think it worked actually! Just did what you said and reversed the concept and order of selection. Seems obvious and should have thought to do that ha. Thanks!

you can maybe Squish instead of Smash, as well. More Options on distortion.
