Like my uncle told me in kindergarten in a street fight there is no such thing as fighting fair. He taught me about pocket sand
For context: She used to be an absolute monster of a girl when she was young, and split the head of one of the main boys, scarring him. A massive fight happened, like all the neighborhood kids vs just her, in an all out brawl, and she lost, but just barely, only about 2 people were still up when she went down. After this she lost a lot of her viciousness, and those 2 other girls, while her friends, also sort of keep her inner demon in check, or at least watch for it. This isn't magic or super powers, this was just pure beatings. So when they ask for a fight to see who's strongest, she doesn't have a concept of fair play, or sport, so she still has that thinking that a fight means to utterly beat you down with any means.
I think she is a real sociopath. But after being beat she tried to hide it to fit in with society and became her normal timid/meek self. But in this case it shows that she still doesnt understand people and emotions, she doesn't understand their boundaries.
She's just the human version of the job market - a merciless battlefield where there's no rules or mock battles.

The subplot was that she was a menace in the past and that the boy with a cap uses that to hide a full-on scar on his face due to her.

My dad once told me a story about a guy hitting on my mom when they were dating. My dad didn't take to kindly of this and the other guy said, "lets take it outside." Once out side the guy turned around, went hi ya, and got in a karate stance. My dad went he ya and kicked him in the nuts. Fight over.
Learning a martial art is good in all but if you're not going pro, than your mind needs to be for the street and not the ring.

Well, given Habara's past and her reaction to the idea of rules in a fight along with holding a huge rock, it was justified.
Habara has A Past. When she and the other kids were younger, Habara terrorized the neighborhood, and like a dozen kids had to team up to defeat her. The running gag is that Habara is like a demon that's been reformed. The characters make casual references to this fact and it doesn't even occur to Habara to be offended. She knows what she is.

Habara was a monster bully in middle school, a real sociopath. But the neighborhood kids ganged up to beat her (barely), and she was submissive afterwards. I think she is still a sociopath, but is normally worried about going overboard and revealing it, so comes off as timid. But times like this she reveals she is still a monster that doesnt understand people underneath.
Oh, it's exactly the same as mine. The only difference is that I had a drug incident and it was in primary school and I beat up the whole class-

The title of the video is right, it's the quiet ones who are the most violent. I was mostly always quiet in high school, but I was never violent like her. I mean, Jesus, she had a rock in her hand 😰.
The anime also features her backstory. Basically, she used to be a pretty vicious bully. She only mended her ways after something like 10 kids ganged up on her and beat her up. (In the anime it's presented in a way that it doesn't seem so dark but in real life it would be.)
Truly a classic.

Context: She was the biggest bully in elementary to the point where all high school boys tremble at the sound of her name. Her nickname was the "Archdemon of East Yada". After leaving a boy with his head bleeding, the school's 10 strongest warriors agreed to take her on once and for all. She was beaten eventually, leaving only two wounded. Consequently, she "gradually lost her brutality" and one of the fighters who remained, another girl, agreed to monitor her. In episode 9, she cries over the grief of the whole situation. But, this clip shows how some brutality remains seeing how she has no concept of a "fair" fight.

It is often that those who despise fighting the most who end up being the ones more akin to it.
For context, the girl was the worst bully in grade school. She disfigured one of the boys in the show and he fears her whenever shes around. It took an entire team of school kids to take her down. The girl with the glasses is technically supposed to keep her in check if she ever decides to get aggressive again.
