Ok
Maha Saptami which is the first day of both Basanti Puja and sharadiya Durga Puja begins with nabapatrika snan. While many people think of Naba Patrika as Lord Ganesha's wife the reality is something else. Actually nabapatrika is a combination of nine plants which are bound together with a wine of white butterfly pea, given a holy bath and draped in a saree to look like a bride. Each of the plants are presided by a goddess.
1. Banana for Brahmani
2. Kochu gach for Kalika
3. Turmeric for Durga
4. Jayanti for Kartiki
5. Pomegranate for raktadantika
6. Ashoka for shokarahita
7. Maan Kochu for Chamunda
8. Paddy for Lakshmi
9. Bilva tree for Shivani
Note - as I am not aware of exact English translation and scientific name of some of these plants, I preferred Sanskrit and Bengali names.
But not left it is in placed right of ganesh
