Plenty of years left in you yet BvS, so never say never. At the same time there is a big world out there and at least you know it will still be there if you get the urge to reconnect. Stunning images to say your farewell and as always look forward to your next adventure
Patagonia is truly a wonder! It is interesting that you have been going there for 15 years and that it will be strange not to see you travel there anymore. You are right - there are so many places out there just waiting to be discovered, have their photo taken, and provide the opportunity to get salt in your other shoe. I'm excited to see your next adventures!
Loved this vlog Brendan. Great in the field stuff. And lovely images. I particularly like the blurry foreground shot - gorgeous! Like you said - have you really got everything out of it.. but ultimately, if you no longer feel inspired, it's time to try something else. You can always return in a few years time and find new inspiration. I'm sure you will.
I love what you said about the fall photography struggles. It's too much at times! My favorite fall photo was actually of a city ! Shot super wide from the overlook of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Got the beautiful fall colors in the point park and also fall colors in the foreground. It turned out awesome and your channel has really helped me grow and get better !
Arrr the legends of Salt Foot Van Son 🦶. Never say never 🙏 definitely can understand the emotional feelings, but looking back at where you have been and ahead at all the places you are offering in your trips, I mean dude, it looks like it's going to be awesome, love the video, some great images ❤👍
I really enjoy you vlog's Brendan, been watching them for years. Very tough work and with AI, the excitement for photography diminishes some. I guess it it just makes us work harder. Keep up the great work.
17:36 ❤🔥 About you not going there again.... Never say never, you still own your life and in the future you will own your present life, so you can decide whatever 😁
Did you ever find the rumored lighthouse on the coast when you tried drown your vehicles? It was the first Heaton trip, I believe. Anyway, there's a whole world out there to shoot. Carry on. 👍🥂
Hi, Brendan. If you want to discover truly new places for yourself and your audience, then my recipe is this - come to Russia. There is no need to talk about the size of our country - it is huge! But if you are interested in mountains, then they are here. Caucasus, Altai, Urals, Karelia. I can list it for a long time. If you ever try to come here, I think you won't regret it. For a photographer, this is a real Klondike and El Dorado, and the most interesting thing is that these are not advertising slogans. A few numbers: 9 time zones, 4 climatic zones, linguistic and national diversity. If you spend a little time studying this issue, you will conclude in favor of getting to know Russia. Good luck to your channel. P.S. I've been following your channel for a long time, but I'm writing this based on the content of your video about wanting to visit new places.
Never say never Brendan! you never know if a new volcano appears out of nowhere hahaha Btw, based on your experience, when do the fall colors usually pop? first half of april? Planing on going to Chaltén/Torres next autumn :) Salute from viña del mar, Chile!
Every year is different down there. On the Chilean side it's usually a bit later, like end of April. Over in Argentina 10-20 of April is usually in the range.
Good decision…I feel Patagonia has now been overdone and getting repetitious…beautiful yes, but just the same…china has a lot to offer though it can be more challenging…I spend a lot of time of time here and is always something new…
Thank you for sharing Brendan! The image at 15:58 is amazing! I went back and paused the video to take it all in. Very nice! Cheers Ron
Thanks Ron, glad you like the image!!

You don’t need to put yourself into a box. Open new doors and leave the old door open. Life is amazing, don’t over think it…..
3:10 Hahahahaha 😀
You filmed this video six months ago and it's just now coming out? A little backed up, eh? 😂
What are you talking about? It's autumn now, isn't it? haha
Perfect timing to match fall colors up north ;)
Yea I was thinking the same :D
He's always 6 months behind. 😜
Was thinking.... autumn... Patagonia... huh, did we swop hemispheres? Greetz from South Africa. @@BrendanvanSon
