This really hits me. I have ADHD and I was told to hide it for so long, that I had multiple versions of myself I'd put on in different situations to avoiding show my hyperactivity and weird traits. But I've been burned out from it over the last few years, trying to find myself, questioning all kinds of stuff, using characters and cosplay to express myself... It's a journey, and so relatable. Especially for those of us who grew up trying to fit into a specific kind of person when we just don't.
Yeah sometimes it’s really hard to know who you’re supposed to be, so I definitely feel that. Sometimes people want everyone to be just like them and they’ll tell you who you should be and how you should act. It’s important to keep in mind that we aren’t made to fit their wants. We were all made differently and have our own unique purpose in life.
