    Wont headwind also increase the drag thereby effectively slowing it down? so its helping it takeoff and not helping it takeoff at the same time?

      From what I know, taking off into a headwind will reduce groundspeed, which will reduce the total runway distance required for takeoff.

      It slows the ground speed but increases the airspeed which is what the wings need to create adequate lift.

    Today i saw qatar airways tookoff with the wind. Means it is facing tailwind... Why it happened?
