      scientist368 a Jackal Sniper canonically sniped Chief before he could take out Truth. That’s why Chief was falling at the beginning of Halo 3, he had to escape somehow. A weakling almost got him killed.

    I wonder if they selfdestructed her armor before they moved out. Because there's no way they can carry her and you can't take that armor off without power tools.

    • @Spirit_of_Reach
      @Spirit_of_Reach 4 года назад +2

      You cannot take most of it off without special tools and yeah by regulations they were to detonate the fusion reactor that powered the MJOLNIR armor

    • @Spirit_of_Reach
      @Spirit_of_Reach 4 года назад +1

      the reason behind this was because most of the technology that was incorporated into the MJOLNIR armor was reverse-engineered Covenant technology and in some ways was Superior to what it was stolen from so the MJOLNIR armor if the Spartan died is to be destroyed that way the covenant could not improve their technology

    when you remember there were at least 116 other Spartans than Master Chief.
    yeah for the entire time I thought the Spartan was Master Chief... I am a disgrace.

      36, over 1/2 of the original spartans didn't survive the augmentation. Though yeah did not know what to expect when the helmet came off.

    • @darkwing363
      @darkwing363 7 лет назад +1

      don't feel bad about that because you would only know that if you read the expanded universe material cause the games never covered that till 343

    • @coolltazman
      @coolltazman 6 лет назад +4

      Technically a little under 36 since some that did survived were completely screwed up and twisted beyond use for combat so instead were used as stratigest.

    • @spedwyrm7427
      @spedwyrm7427 6 лет назад +4

      They started with 300, by the end of the training and experimental augmentations there were 76 still combat ready, another 60-70 were disfigured but still intelligent and capable to a certain extent. Those not combat ready were tasked to ONI and other agencies during the rest of the war.
      (I would also like to point out that by the time the first Halo game comes along in the timeline that the master chief is around 40 years old. Having been abducted at age 8 trained until approximately 18 years old, he had about 22 years of combat experience.)
      By the time of the first halo game there were less than 10 SPARTAN II's and a few years later they began using the orphans of war for the SPARTAN III's trained by an ONI acquired SPARTAN II from the Master Chief's own Blue Team.

      I ALSO ASKED ME?

    • @spedwyrm7427

      It was a program named after historical Spartans of Legend by that period in their history. The test subjects totaled 300 at the outset for each variant of the program.
      The MK I's we're supposed to be Mech Pilots, adult enlisted soldiers that volunteered for the program. That's where we get Sergeant Johnson.
      The MK II's are the Spartans featured in the video games, Master Chief and most of Noble Team. Abducted as children ages ranging from 5 to 8 y/o because they met a specific genetic profile and trained in military lore, combat tactics, Etc... using the spartans' traditions and outlook as a template.
      The MK III's were War orphans no more than 16 years of age collected from the last decade of the Covenant War, augmented, given cheaper armor, and sent on suicide missions in squads numbering 300. Out of the 3000 or more Spartans produced by this program less than four total have survived in Canon. Emil from Noble Team was a Spartan III.
      The MK IV's are the ones seen in Halo 4, 5, and the eventual 6. Enlisted soldiers and officers that volunteer for the augmentation and training. They're not quite as smart, not quite as fast, not quite as strong as the MK II's but they have a much higher survivability rate of the augmentations than their predecessors.

      @@spedwyrm7427 sorry to step on on your knowledge of halo lore. but all MK 1's Spartans died (except 2 people) in the drug phase of making them Spartans. those two people who survived (sorry i can't remember their names) had lots of mental problems and physical problems too. they were expected to live less than 3 years and were in no shape for combat. but funny fact the two survivors had kids (3 of them i believe i could be wrong). the children did have better strength, speed, and mental capabilities than an average human but no where near a Spartans 2s abilities. the 2 survivors of the MK 1 Spartan program were turned into ai's when they were about to die.

    • @spedwyrm7427

      @@cameronmackin378 Sergeant Johnson is a Spartan 1, the Spartan ones were designed to be better stronger and faster than standard UNSC troops but were primarily going to be using the mech suits detailed out during the training of the Spartan 2s in the Halo Fall Of Reach novel. The alterations to their genetic material were played off as I believe it was some sort of syndrome on their medical records to disguise their involvement in the failed project. Sergeant Johnson's Spartan 1 adaptations are what kept Him from being assimilated by the flood at the end of the first game.

    • @cameronmackin378
      @cameronmackin378 6 лет назад

      @@spedwyrm7427 first i want to just say wow on the speedy reply. so i did look it up and you are right about sergeant Johnson. he is Spartan (sort of). the Spartan 1's i was talking about were just adults that were given the same treatment as Spartan 2's as i said almost all of them died. sergeant Johnson is (in technical speaking) is more like a Spartan 0.5 with similar abilities as Spartan 1.5's (the children of Spartan 1's that survived).
      so in a way we are both correct and incorrect, because the cannon and lore changes.

      Guillermo Garcia Aguilar if you're extremely short-sighted and only into the hero rhetoric then, yes I'm sure it would. If you've got a bit of a broader perspective that actually encompasses that the heroes don't always win and that combat and War take a far greater toll on those involved in it than the spectators that bitch and complain about the outcome...then you might take a little bit of a different perspective.
      The Spartans were a last-ditch scientific development by the government and Military to put down *human dissidents*, the fact that the Covenant showed up was only a coincidence.
      Within the lore that broadens the narrow perspective only presented in the video games, the SPARTAN II program was bordering on a war crime. Child abduction, flash clone replacements, ideological reprogramming, experimentation... the fact that she viewed the test subjects as her own children is the equivalent of a cat lady viewing their 20+ cats as their own children as well...delusional, injurious, and self serving.
