Seasons in the Abyss was the first extreme metal album I bought, and that fill has always stuck out to me as one of the most memorable in all of metal. Sounded like literal warfare. Thanks for the sick breakdown, and awesome drumming, sir.

IF the material that I am forced to listen to is any and OR everything cringe? Then, AIN'T NO drum performance and OR drum sound, that's gonna save it/ make it "tolerable" for these ears..... Life's TOO short to listen to BAD music 😎 ... I actually really liked the snare sound on the last Slayer excuse for a CD..... But yeah, past THAT, the overall horrible production on it, plus mostly just King's throwaway leftovers with NOTHING hardly even "memorable" and the fact that the guy just CANNOT write ( nor seem to) write actual THRASH METAL anymores. 🫤 😒. Is what it turned into.....

Dave Lombardo is actually left handed but learned playing drums right handed. So some of his drum fills are awkward for right handed people because he begins the fills with his left hand.

Thank you for this video. I have listened to this song and wondered how included the snare six times in that roll. I have seen a lot of drum covers for the song, but none get that fill correct. What can be said of Dave, to me, the most aggressive speed drummer there is.
